A restless colony consisting out of Common Guillemots (Uria aalge) (in this picture), Brünnich's Guillemots (Uria lomvia) and Razorbills (Alca torda) were circling around the small island of Hornøya for an hour or two. After that they all disappeared... almost all.

the promenade steps covered in spongy seaweed. losing my balance as I sit and wait. and the sun lowers itself in the heat of the evening.
Photo at a local cafe in Lansing, Michigan. I carry a mini-tripod everywhere I go. Tripods are great for getting that perfect angle.
In another part of the waterhole...another bird on a stick...
A pair of these were always somewhere to found around the waterhole. They came in quite close to me, maybe after the flies which were in plague proportions, but were hard to get clean shots of. Here it dropped in in front of me for a drink.
Botany Bay Surf, shot with a long shutter speed giving a surreal feeling. Nature truly is amazingly beautiful.

Emperor Dragonfly (Anax imperator) male. (Best viewed Large, On Black)
Yesterday, I had my first encounter with a dragonfly for this season. I had my eyes on this male emperor since noon, but at that time he was restless and constantly flying around the pond, patrolling the area, ready to send off other males and looking to mate with any female that would visit (none did). But in the afternoon, as the sun lowered and the temperature begun dropping, he was perching more and more often and that's when I made my move. Every time he perched, somewhere around the pond, I would slowly try to approach him. My first shots of him (see the previous photo) were captured from a distance that he was more comfortable with (a little more than a meter, I'd say). But as the time passed, we got better acquainted and, when he chose a perch that was at shoulder level and didn't feel intimidated by my height, he finally let me do some portraiture work :-)
I'm guessing he was 8-10cm long with a wingspan of 10-12cm.

These shoes have walked through more goodbyes than hellos. They've carried me away from things I should have stayed for, and toward things that were never meant for me.
But they're still here, still ready for the next mistake, the next maybe, the next chance to find something that feels like home.
White sand, turquoise water and serpentine rocks combine to make Kynance Cove one of the most photographed, filmed and painted beaches in Cornwall.
Its name derives from the Cornish ‘kewnans’ meaning ravine, and there is a stream that cuts through the valley and across the beach.
Low tide reveals a series of coves and interconnected caves, with grand Victorian names such as the Ladies Bathing Pool and the Drawing Room.
One rock is named after Prince Albert, who came ashore here with his children in 1846. The largest island is Asparagus Island, named after the plant which is native and grows wild there.
Another from a shoot I had with Amber this past Monday.
There were two fields directly beside one another, one white and one orangey-brown. We were all freeeeezing throughout this shoot, but probably Amber most of all. Haha I'm a horrible person to do that to my models :P

Helsephyr is an old guardian of the flame, and grew restless when the Mask Makers began harnessing the heat to create masks of power. He lumbers across Okoto, leaving a trail of ash in his wake. He seeks to locate the Mask Makers' forge and destroy it, so that no one may rival him in the control of his element.

A young Leopard probably not more than 8 months old climbs down and starts to check out the weird two legged creatures poking there heads out of windows in awe.
This was the only Leopard cub in Ndutu, the Southern part of the Serengeti ecosystem.
