The push-pull shuttles featuring Canberra Rail Museums" Beyer-Garratt DC6029 continued on Sunday, and the big engine is seen trailing, and then leading through the Towrang area in southern NSW.
A brand new spot for lineside photography at the time of taking this image. Here we see MGB motor vehicle Deh/4/4 no.23 working the 15:14 service from Disentis/Muster to Andermatt on the hot stormy afternoon of the 24/8/23. The train was captured in Oberalppass.
New working for the December 2019 timetable change, here we see OBB locomotive 1144 284 returning from Klagenfurt with IC784 bound for Salzburg on the afternoon of the 15/2/20. The sun at this time of day in winter is almost side on, so not the best shot sadly.
It is nice to see this train swapping over from Railjet traction, which is what it use to be operated by. For info, the outward working between Salzburg and Klagenfurt is IC898 - during my visit the loco was always leading the train to Klagenfurt i.e. topping the DVT.

This spot has been on my "to do list" for a while now and was the ideal spot weather wise to capture this working - Here we 67022 leading 1Z18 from Euston to Heysham under another cloudy Saturday in the northwest on the outskirts of Daresbury. For info, 67008 was swinging from the rear.
OBB loco's 1144 049 (front) & 1144 245 (rear) make the climb out of Braz in Austria near Bludenz on the morning of the 16/6/15 following prolonged heavy rain the day before. The freight train was heading in the direction of Innsbruck

RhB Ge6/6 freight loco 701 working the 07:53 Ilanz to Chur passenger and freight service on the outskirts of Castrisch on the morning of the 31/8/16. Arrived here late after a 6am start to capture this working, so only managed a side on shot

Clapham Common Tube Station

I am slowly getting through my photos that I took the other day now that I have more time on my hands.
Still carrying on with my London Underground photography project. Clapham Common tube station is one of a few that has an island platform that creates a symmetrical effect when two trains are in the platform at the same time. I was very happy that I managed to capture it as it took me several attempts in the past to get it where two trains were in the platform at the time. I was very lucky, as soon as I pulled in on my train went up the stairs and waited and then the next set of trains came in at the same time :-) I snapped away as I knew this opportunity would not come around again so easily.
This is probably one the best ones out of the ones that I took. Its a HDR photo made from a single image. Once processed in the Photomatix, I re-imported in LR3 and then processed further. At the end I was not happy with the barrel distortion so put it through PTLens (great program for sorting out distortion) and this is the result.

Information
The station is at the eastern tip of Clapham Common and was opened in June 1900 as the new southern terminus of the City & South London Railway, which was extended from Stockwell. It remained the terminus until the Morden extension was opened in 1926. Apart from a small domed entrance building on the tip of the narrow triangular island formed by The Pavement and Clapham Common South Side, the station is entirely underground.
A curved steel and glass pavilion was built on the south-east end of Clapham Common South Side by architects firm Aukett Fitzroy Robinson. This links to the below-ground ticket hall via a pedestrian tunnel under the road.
Clapham Common is one of two remaining deep-level stations on the underground that has an island platform in tunnel serving both the northbound and southbound lines, the other being Clapham North. Because of safety worries there are plans to replace them.
Clapham Common is one of eight London Underground stations that have a deep-level air-raid shelter underneath them. Both entrances to the shelter are north of the station on Clapham High Street.

TPE 185126 passses Docker in Cumbria on the morning of the 11/11/17 with 1M94 from Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport. Went here to photograph the Hardendale freight train, but it ran 65mins early and passed this location as I arrived.

Here we see CD Skoda locomotive 151 012 working the 12:19 service from Praha hl.n to Zilina (EC143) on the hot afternoon of the 8/9/23. The train was captured passing through Tatce.
Here we see IC515 from Innsbruck to Graz being worked by OBB electric loco 1144 122 after finding a suitable gap between the trees. There was an ants nest close to the track, which I trod on, so opted to go further back from the field. This was taken in Schwarzach-St.Veit

Under a cloudy skyline, 68010 was captured at Searchlight Lane Jcn in Norton Bridge with what I believe is 0K68 from Willesden Brent to Crewe GB on the afternoon of the 11/3/17.
On a very cold and snowy day, SBB Re/4/ loco no.11116 rounds the curve at Wassen with an afternoon service for Zurich. On the day this shot was taken, many of the normal places for taking pictures in this area were inaccessible due to the depth of snow.
Here we see heritage units ET-17 and ET-16 working a local service into Mezzocorona on the morning of the 23/10/17. These are the series 400 units.
