"Im Liegen geht´s, Herr Doktor"
Der Bettenwagen mit Liegevorrichtungen zum Krankentransport für 24 Verletzte. Zum "K-Zug" gehörten 2 Bettenwagen.
RhB heritage railcars 30 & 34 were captured in the autumn landscape on the morning of the 16/10/16 rounding the lake near Ospizio Bernina working the 09:50 special from Pontresina to Ospizio Bernina as part of the RhB Club 1889 event.
Picture postcard scene on Christmas Eve 2017 - Here we see MGB Deh4/4 locomotive 101 crossing the valley viaduct in Bugnei on the afternoon of the 24/12/17 with the 13:14 service from Disentis/Muster to Andermatt.
Here we see black Taurus 182526 working the overnight Alpen Express ski train which departed from Den Haag HS at 17:36 the previous evening. The train was enroute to Bischoshofen on the morning of the 8/2/20. and was captured passing through Hogmoos in Austria.
Unfortunately locomotive traction for the Alpen Express during the 2019-2020 season featured the same engine for several weeks. This was a negative step change from previous years.
Following a tip-off the previous day that this locomotive would be out on this route, I positioned myself accordingly, Here we see heritage Ge4/4 locomotive 603 working a short freight from Ilanz to Chur on the morning of the 9/2/22.
After travelling overnight from Sweden via Germany, then into Austria and appearing at this location running in excess of 3 hours late, here we see privately owned 111 223 working the 14:40 departure from Malmo to Innsbruck (D305). The train was captured passing through Kirchberg in Tyrol, Austria on the afternoon of the 7/1/23.
Here we see SBB Re4/4 locomotive 11183 passing Wassen just as the sun went down on the afternoon of the cold afternoon of the 7/2/15 with an engineering train heading towards Goschenen. I think the Re4/4 Lok drop the engineering vehicles off at Goschenen.
In challenging conditions, here we see Lokomotion locomotives 189914 (front) and 186283 (rear) pass through Langkampfen, Austria with a trail of snow spray on the afternoon of the 6/1/17
OBB Taurus locomotive 1216 012 passes through St Jodok on the morning of the 7/2/20 with the 06:40 service from Trento to Innsbruck (REX1826).
Here we see Trenitalia ETR700 no.4813 working the 08:45 service from Bolzano to Milano Centrale on the morning of the 21/2/23. The train was captured passing through Mezzocorona.
A classic early afternoon shot from this mountainous region - Here we see ZSSK locomotive 163109 passing underneath the Tatra mountains in Slovakia on the afternoon of the 4/7/18 with the 10:34 service from Zilina to Poprad-Tatrty (Os7847). The loco and stock look to be in need of some paint :-)
Here we see CD locomotive 380018 crossing the viaduct at Dolni Loucky on the afternoon of the 24/2/22 with the diverted EC278 from Budapest-Nyugati to Praha hl.n.
Please note the diversion of EC278 via this route was planned.

Here we see the unusual sight of 66616 in need of an urgent wash with 6H50 from Willesden 1-7 sidings to Tunstead on the afternoon of the 17/6/22.
Also in the consist was another set of wagons towards the rear sandwiched with 66614 in the middle (see separate image). This kind of working I have only ever seen in Europe!

Here we see BLS locomotives 168 & 171 passing Wattinger Curve in Wassen, Switzerland just as the sun was disappearing behind me. The two BLS locomotives were captured pulling a heavily loaded car train late on the afternoon of the 7/2/15 south towards Italy.
Here we see MRCE Vectron 193 640 in a special advertising livery hauling a loaded intermodal through Matrei Am Brenner on the afternoon of the 9/11/21 enroute towards Brenner and beyond.

Here we see the RhB snowplough X9213 (known as the beast) and DC Krokodil 182 make their return to Ospizio Bernina station after putting on a snow clearing display for the tourists and railway enthusiasts on the morning of the 23/2/20.
Here we see Warship locomotuve D821 working the late running 12:30 service from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster on the afternoon of the 21/5/23. The train was captured crossing the River Seven at Victoria Bridge in Arley.
Here we see OBB Taurus locomotive 1116 278 departing from Bockstein with the 13:20 Autozug to Mallnitz (ATB 9617) on the bitterly cold afternoon of Friday 14th February 2020.
Almost out of time with the sun, here we see OBB Railjet 1locomotive 1116 242 passing in front of a group of mountains with snow spray working RJ862 to Bregenz. The train was captured in Langkampfen on the cold winters day of the 6/1/17.
After trying this location the previous winter, the opportunity arose to try it again. Here we see OBB electric shunter loco 1163 006 pass through Hogmoos with a short trip working to Saalfelden. The loco returned a few hours later with another small freight train.
Here we see TX Logistik Vectron's 193281 (front) and 193558 (rear) wind there way through St Jodok, Austria on the cold morning of the 16/2/22 enroute towards Innsbruck and beyond from Italy.

Getting up close and personal with the RhB steam snowplough X9213 and Gem4/4 diesel/electric locomotive 802 providing traction from the rear on the morning of the 28/1/18.
Here we see Taurus loco ES-64-U2-060 (front) and black 189xxx (rear) passing Langkampfen in Austria on the afternoon of the 6/1/17. Train caught me out so missed the 2nd loco number.
