Another batch of homemade donuts. This time I didn't fry them but used a yeast batter to bake just how you would to a normal bread. Turned out salty however. Will make another trial in the future.
Here is my attempt to document a Homemade Fettucini Alfredo dinner. I make the pasta with egg and flour. Let it rest. Then roll it out by hand and cut the pasta. The sauce is butter, garlic, olive oil, cream and parmesan cheese.
Taking pictures of food is really hard. The light in the kitchen sucks and then the food just doesn't look that tasty, but trust me it was really good :-)

Homemade natural syringa syrup made with syringa, lemon, sugar, honey, cardamom and little extra Calvados for an extra kick. I will show you how to paint a glass for syrup and would make a great gift for someone you like.

Homemade letters made from cardboard and scrapbooking paper! Spells out Duncan, for the baby of course!
We needed to clear a blockage and do a survey of the drains. I got the waterproof USB camera from EBay and it gives a reasonably clear picture. Attaching it to the drain rods wasn't working due to the tight corners. I came up with the idea of using a garden hose which worked much better than I expected, got it 12' without it crumpling and getting stuck. If I'd had a shorter length of hose I would have put the wire down it. Another good thing is that if the lens needs a clean I can just turn on the water to the hose. The blockage was due to roots penetrating the drain.
Sometimes my dorkiness amazes even me. These are homemade twinkies. The idea is to make gourmet versions of nostalgic junk food. These were made with a boxed pound cake mix(for the sake of experiemntation). The filling though is a marscapone cream with vanilla and lemon zest. They were actually kind of disgusting. The next version will use a homemade good pound cake recipe.

The Chiko roll is iconically Australian and the ingredients are really a mystery to everybody. Here we have tried to capture the flavour so you can have them at home. An Australian savoury snack, inspired by the Chinese egg roll and spring rolls. It was designed to be easily eaten on the move without a plate or cutlery. The Chiko roll consists of beef, celery, cabbage, barley, carrot, corn, onion, green beans, and spices in a tube of egg, flour and dough which is then deep-fried. The wrap was designed to be unusually thick so it would survive handling at football matches.

A homemade tater tot hotdish/casserole. The traditional recipe involves cans of cream of something soup and instead, I made a thick homemade cream of mushroom soup to replace that. Ground beef, peas and tater tots complete it!

We made these pizzas, entirely from scratch. Very tasty! We used this method for making the tomato sauce. Highly recommended.

One of my gifts from my mother-in-law was the cookbook Vegan Planet. Nothing else would do except me trying it out the very next day. It was my very first attempt at making homemade pizza dough and it was simple, fast, and exceedingly good. This is the Cheesy Chili-Topped Pizza on Enriched Pizza Dough (check out pages 434 and 424 in the cookbook!).
