I made this Persian lute using a locally grown gourd. It is fretless with nylon strings and the nut and bridge were carved from bone purchased at the local pet store. I used a wood burning pen to burn the decorative vines on the top. The pegs are wooden dowels sanded down to fit the peg holes.
Japanese Pancake Pizza: Okonomiyaki is a mixture between pancake and pizza. "Okonomi" means "as you like". This I think refers to the many ingredients, as one prefers in his/her pancakes. These pancakes are served with mayonnaise, brown okonomiyaki sauce and bonito flakes.
I had my 1st bite of okonomiyaki at the basement food corner at C K Tang years ago.
Homemade pasta sauce isn't as hard to make as you think, it's packed with nutrients, and it's scrumptious!
I saw the recipe for these Homemade Oreos on smittenkitchen.com (from Retro Desserts by Wayne Brachman).
We tried out the recipe today and it got 3 thumbs up from my taste testers : D

Well actually, it doesn't.

I've put in the viewfinder (as you can see), and the film compartment is (mostly) lightproof. But the shutter remains just out of my reach. Any ideas? Anyone?
There are so many amazing ice cream places in Cape Cod that make homemade ice cream and it so delicious.
Colored pencil holder I made for my son from scraps of fabric. This project was from the book "The Creative Family".
I tried the coffee and cocoa in a cup and it just wasn't working for me. I thought, what other ways can I photography the subject? This afternoon we all had a special treat to share. :-)

And - sweet cracker sandwich! - these are amazing.
(I'd like to say that I will never buy the premade bagged kind ever again. But we all know I will. Sigh. Sometimes it sucks to be satanically lazy...)
