These are the Christmas decors that were made by our daughters... My wife is now thinking of a different homemade decors for this year's Christmas: poinsettia made from stockings...
This room appeared to be an informal dining room, judging by the ample shelving on the right side of the frame. The kitchen was just off to the left, but what I believe was the main dining room, which featured more large windows, is right behind me. Of course, the real attraction of this room is the homemade wallpaper. Check out the next shot for a close-up of one frame.

note: i do not recommend making homemade marshmallows, it is a VERY messy business and you lose half the stuff in the process so your final product is way smaller than the recipe says. might have been easier with standup mixer or an extra hand but still. They also are not very good for roasting over a fire, too candy-y, though they are excellent in hot choc.
But it's actually more of a sauce. Jam is one of those things that's on my invisible list of "things that make me a good mother".
Why jam? I have no idea. But it is. Unfortunately it didn't turn out so jammy, more thick saucy, which is fine, but disappointing.
I may attempt to re-jam some of it. Some of it is destined for my father to put on top of some delicacy that my sister will either create or recommend, I hope.
If not, I'll explore what can be done with strawberry sauce!
Joshua says it's a bit too sweet. I'm going to have to play with my proportions and see if I can master jam or what.
