I'm no longer shy about asking for help, and a food processor means mixing the dough is a snap. Recipe found at King Arthur.

Another batch of homemade donuts. This time I didn't fry them but used a yeast batter to bake just how you would to a normal bread. Turned out salty however. Will make another trial in the future.

I prepared homemade happy meal. The gift inside is my evil garden gnome that hates fast food. He loves vegan food just like me.
When He looks at fried food and chicken he becomes crazy and violent like Alex in Clockwork Orange

These are the Christmas decors that were made by our daughters... My wife is now thinking of a different homemade decors for this year's Christmas: poinsettia made from stockings...
I bought a small stencil back in December, not quite sure what I would do. It came to me to use it to design a heart for my card.
Pretty much what the title says. Coworker was bored and made a cake. Then she brought it to work. It was so good it reminded me of the cakes I got for my birthdays. (Obliviously I've had more than one).
My friend Evan gave me a recipe for "sun-dried" tomatoes. Mind you they're made in the oven as Toronto isn't exactly the most sun-drenched city.
I adapted his recipe slightly:
Cut a whole lot of medium sized tomatoes vertically into thirds and de-seed and de-pulp. Then sprinkle them with fresh rosemary, salt, sugar and pepper to taste and drizzle with olive oil. Gently, with your hands mix it together so the tomatoes are coated with all flavours. Then place them, cut side up on a parchment paper lined sheet pan in a single layer and throw them into the oven on teh lowest heat setting possible. Depending on your oven it could take 5-8 hours. Mine took about 8 hours.
Evan's recipe called roma tomatoes but I couldn't yet find them at my local farmer's market. His recipe also called for minced garlic, but for the first time in my life I'd run out of garlic!
