Making the tags and flower pins, and wrapping presents took FOREVER!! But so worth it! I love how they turned out!

Knit sock poi made with the Barbie Knit Machine. I love the self-striping effect this yarn has. So colorful. These are for Lightning in a Bottle where I'll help teach a beginner poi spinning workshop.

If you want something done right, do it yourself. I've been looking for camo covers and rain-proofing for my camera gear and haven't founf anything that really matches what I own. I broke down and bought a sewing machine and ordered some weatherproof fabric and have been teaching myself to sew. Started off with the tripod, next are covers for the lens and cameras.
A closeup of the interior of a damaged headstone 'window'. These headstones were made by people during the depression. Money was tight...they couldn't afford fancy headstones when a loved one was lost, so they made their own. Some of them had 'windows' inserted with special mementos of the deceased. The glass on this stone is long-damaged, so it's hard to know what other things were included other than the angel. Whether the glass was damaged by weather or mowers or mistreatment is not known. It is really amazing that the homemade stones are, for the most part, still standing.
We love making our own homemade #PumpkinPuree. You can play with sweet and savory puree by sprinkling salt or sugar on top of the pumpkins before roasting. It's so easy you won't miss the canned stuff!
