A homemade card for a dear friend on her b-day. I love creating paper art like this where I used drawings skills, stamps, decoupage and of course colors.

I was just wondering why you never see any pictures of pickles on flickr? You see every other food but pickles! Are pickles not pretty enough to make it to flickr?
I made sooo many of these jars of pickles last summer-and still have soo many left! My daughter started out eating a jar every two days but got burnt out on them.
Homemade wholegrain bread rolls for lunch today, still hot from the oven and smelling so good.

Both my grandmothers sewed - homemade treasures from the heart, hand crafted with love.
This quilt my maternal grandmother made and gifted to my parents as a wedding gift in the 50s.
After Mom moved to assisted living, she would look at the quilt and remember her Mama.
I made this delicious pie with homegrown blackberries from my son's garden.
Happy Birthday, Peter! Enjoy!
... homemade. The lime juice and zest make all the difference ... Mmmmm!
Taste a larger spoonful - it's even sweeter!
Muffins, to stave off the Beast from the East!
Recipe:
1 egg
1 cup of white yoghurt (I used low/no fat greek)
1/3 cup of oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix all in a bowl then add the following:
Preheat oven to 190c
2 cups of plain flour
1/2 cup sugar (I used half spoon sugar)
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
------------
Extra: Add chocolate chips, or blueberries, or whatever you like!
Bake for 18 mins
I find this fills out a dozen muffin cases.
While walking along a local river we came across a tree that had been gnawed on by beavers. Those shavings reminded me of feathers so we collected a small bag-full and used them to create bird sculptures. My grand kids used a glue gun to layer the wood chips over a large paper egg (used as a body form). Eyes were made of either a couple of beads or small clam shells from the river shore.
homemade strained yoghurt using the silvercrest yoghurt maker.
it's the first time i've used it and very happy with the result :)

Homemade scones, made yesterday, and Bramble Jam, made last week .... I have to be honest and say that I didn't make either of them, but I will probably eat most!!

A hand-tied fishing fly. I forgot to ask my husband what it’s called. If I find out, I’ll add the name later.
I FINALLY came up with an idea to use the old pan lids that we seem to have accrued here. Actually, many of them came in boxes of "junk" from the auctions. It struck me last weekend that they could go into the old fruit and veggie holders that everybody used to have, that hang. Some of the pan lids JUST fit! Now if only the birds will discover this!
I DID test to be sure the rims weren't hot, in case they might burn birdie feet in the heat. They seem okay for now, at our 81F degrees and full sun. I do have a plan to paint the edges in case hotter temps change that! :)
