Recipe adapted from Rose Levy Beranbaum's The Bread Bible book.
The idea was from her prosciutto ring bread except I swapped it out with a mixture of fine diced country ham, spicy chorizo and calabrese salami, making it wonderfully spicy. The texture of the bread was fluffy yet chewy.

Bella is, of course, the Grand Jam Overseer. Also, she was wondering when I would finish messing about with the camera and get her tea.
The jam is made from the Pax variety of gooseberry, which is why it is pink.
First time making pasta with my kitchen aid. Homemade meatballs too. I really want to learn to make cheese and wine, then I could have a full homemade meal.

Here is my attempt to document a Homemade Fettucini Alfredo dinner. I make the pasta with egg and flour. Let it rest. Then roll it out by hand and cut the pasta. The sauce is butter, garlic, olive oil, cream and parmesan cheese.
Taking pictures of food is really hard. The light in the kitchen sucks and then the food just doesn't look that tasty, but trust me it was really good :-)

Homemade letters made from cardboard and scrapbooking paper! Spells out Duncan, for the baby of course!
Wow I had no idea how easy this was! It's just raw almonds and a food processor! That's it! (If you have a powerful blender that will probably work but my blender would have burned out so I used a food processor).
here is the recipe: thesimpleveganista.blogspot.co.nz/2012/09/raw-almond-butt...
The card interior: a scrap of the same rose collage paper, rubber stamp images and colored pencil enhancement
My first time making homemade pasta. Fettuccine, cookie cutout shapes, goat cheese ravioli. Recipe inspiration here: thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/05/homemade-pasta/, except I used two cups Bob's red mill unbleached white flour, 1 cup Bob's semolina, and 6 eggs. My son and husband loved the shapes and fettuccine, and I enjoyed the ravioli. Easy and fun, will make again!

Sometimes my dorkiness amazes even me. These are homemade twinkies. The idea is to make gourmet versions of nostalgic junk food. These were made with a boxed pound cake mix(for the sake of experiemntation). The filling though is a marscapone cream with vanilla and lemon zest. They were actually kind of disgusting. The next version will use a homemade good pound cake recipe.
Our business manager decided to cook 2 huge trays of sausage quiche and veggie quiche for the whole office.
