Oh yeah.... homemade ice cream. Yum! The cup on the left is mint-chocolate-chip (infused with real mint leaves, not mint flavoring). The top right ice cream is coffee hazelnut chocolate chunk, and the bottom right is fresh lemon sorbet.
I devoured all of them. Yum.
Toasty. I tinkered with the recipe by adding a spice rub before soaking the chicken in a buttermilk sauce.
I know you want this crunchy, buttery popcorn that has the perfect balance between sweetness and saltiness. Click HERE for the super easy recipe! It only takes like, 10 mins to make.
This is a homemade boat I saw in a river community in Riau, Samatra, Indonesia. The area and the people were quite poor but they certainly had well developed skills related to gardening and the river.
I was in the mood for pizza, but not the nasty frozen kind and certainly not the kind you get from delivery.
I took much longer but it was well worth the time and effort
It's cold out today, and we couldn't get the heat up enough, so now it's wrapped in some fiberglass insulation. Okay, that's not an Alton Brown suggestion, but he's in Georgia, we are in New Hampshire. I think if I had a trash can the next size up, I'd put this whole set up in it and it would be perfect.
My son is coming over tomorrow, and I promised him some pulled pork to take home, but the hurricane coming has made actually producing it a bit tricky!
Nestled along the canal is the Homemade Burger Co, we didn't find this place until after dinner, but it looked nice.

More frugal TX days - On this first day of Advent, I will start to share scans from Christmases past, but while looking I also found these fun old "trick'er" (my nearly 2 yr. old grandson's word :>) photos too.
Another batch of homemade donuts. This time I didn't fry them but used a yeast batter to bake just how you would to a normal bread. Turned out salty however. Will make another trial in the future.

100% homemade, even the fondant this cake was for a friend at work who became my first "customer" and I had a lot of fun making this - my 2nd Boobie cake and her bikini got peeled off on this one, too (hee hee that's why I make them anatomically correct, cause I know that's the first thing the birthday boy does, is peel off the bikini to see what's underneath...)
