Day 36 - You don't even understand how delicious this pie is. Heh. I finished the rest of it and when I told my mom she was ... LOLOLOL she didn't even get a bite yet. Oh well, it's too good for me to resist.

My favorite part are the tasty refried beans in which I mixed in cheese and lime juice while heating it. It's the light brown stuff spread on top. The dark brown substance is La Costeña-brand salsa.
I made this Indian tanpura as an experiment. I used a copper decorative can and scrap wood. The only things I bought were the tuning machines and the strings. I made the tailpiece, bridge, and nut out of bones from the local pet store. I painted the vines with acrylic paint just to add to the aesthetic of the instrument. It actually sounds amazing to be such an affordable piece.
A crude long focus lens made from a magnifying glass and some drainpipe.
The single biconvex element has a focal length of approximately 400mm, the diameter is 100mm, giving an aperture of f4.
It was attached to a Nikon D70 using an extension tube and the plastic cup from an old thermos flask, over which a standard black plastic soil pipe was placed and wedged into position. The lens was pushed into another plumbing item, which just fits inside the main tube and can be pushed in and out to focus.
As expected the resulting images are subject to various aberrations, and have a dreamy quality to them.
