I recently took this photo, and experienced what every photographer fears. I opened the photos in Lightroom and noticed while sipping on my subject that the two drinks I just photographed weren't straight! Cue dramatic music. I usually wait before consuming my subject, to check the photo on the computer. I always want to make sure that everything I saw in the small viewfinder of the camera, looks great on the larger screen. I was so sure about this one and particularly thirsty, that I broke my habit of double checking and ended up paying for it later in post. Not to worry, it's bound to happen to anyone sooner or later and it got me thinking that straightening glasses in Photoshop CS6 would be a great tutorial for those interested in shooting drinks.

Did my first enlarging in 30 years yesterday.
It was a bit damp outdoors so spent the day making a lightbox for my monster 4x5 camera to see if it would work as a 4x5 enlarger.
Not a bad result although the light is a little uneven so needs a bit of refining.
i know it's no big deal to make peanut butter at home, but then when you're cleaning out the pantry and there's ample time, there's always edible gifts to be made for family and friends :)

Last week-end, one of my friends lent me a bread maker. It was the first time I made some bread with a bread maker. It was an interressing experience. It's so easy, you just have to put all the ingredients into the pan. Then program for recommended bread select setting and desired crust color and loaf size settings. Turn bread maker on and wait until it's ready. That's all!!!

Yes, the homemade marshmallows were VERY good dipped in chocolate, but I think I liked them plain best. They were very delicate and vanilla-y and the chocolate overwhelmed the taste so much that the marshmallow mostly became just a texture. A SUPERGOOD texture, but I think I liked them most naked.
I couldn't get a Ruruko doll right now (due to funds!). I noticed a picture someone took on Flickr showing a Ruruko with her big sister (Momoko). When I saw how similar the faces were, I decided to take matters into my own hands and ordered an XS Pure Neemo body and a Momoko head. Her dress is from an AG Mini doll and the shoes are from the seller I got the body from. What to you think of my "homemade" Ruruko?

two cups plaster of paris
one cup water
a big squirt of tempera paint
mix, mix, mix
fill one ice cube tray
tamp, tamp, tamp
dry for an hour
twist out close to the ground
draw, draw, draw!

I love to make meatloaf and this is my Mother's recipe with a twist, ground turkey! Dijon mustard and worcestershire sauce add that little something extra.
1 pound turkey
3/4 cup italian bread crumbs
1/2 medium onion
1 clove garlic
2 medium eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dijon mustard
1 tsp. worcesttershire sauce
1/4 tsp. tobasco sauce
1/3 cup catsup
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. olive oil
Sautee Onion finely chopped with garlic and oil on medium for about six minutes. Add everthing but the catsup and sugar to a bowl and mix well. Form into a loaf and bake at 350 for a half an hour. Combine catsup and sugar, glaze and bake for another half hour. Enjoy!

my attempt at making a 5x4 camera, cost me under £10 to build so not a bad attempt, just need to get a lens for it and make a back.
