Dough Recipe:
1 package active dry yeast (about 2 tsp)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water
1/2 tablespoon salt
Extra-virgin olive oil
3 cups all purpose flour
Pizza Stone
Pizza Paddle
In a bowl, combine sugar, yeast, and warm water, stir until dissolved and let sit for 10 minutes. Add salt and 2 tablespoons olive oil and stir together. Begin adding flour a little at a time until the dough comes together ( you might have about a quarter cup left over, use for dusting board and pizza paddle) Knead dough then form it into a sphere and roll in around in a lightly oiled large bowl, cover bowl and let it rise to double its size for one hour. Preheat oven and pizza stone to 450* F.
Once the dough is domed and spongy, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll and stretch the dough into a cylinder and divide into 2 equal pieces. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes so it will be easier to roll out.
Stretch them out into circles of desired thickness and brush with olive oil and add toppings. Carefully slide pizza onto hot pizza stone and bake for 9-12 minutes.
Delicous Margherita Pizza-- Yellow tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, mozzarella and parmesan. It was so good and I will definitely be making pizza with this dough recipe again.

We tried our hand at meatloaf this evening. I found a recipe online I thought would work. It had a few too many onions in my opinion but was very flavorful and quite delicious.
recipe-
1 pound ground beef
1/2 medium onion finely diced
1 clove garlic minced
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
1/3 cup catsup
1 tbs. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tbs. olive oil
Preheat oven to 350
Saute the onion, garlic and olive oil on medium until soft, and translucent (about 6 minutes) and pour into a mixing bowl. Add everything but the catsup and sugar. Mix thoroughly with hands and form into a loaf. Place on a shallow walled baking pan and cook for 50 minutes. Mix catsup and sugar and pour over loaf. Cook for an additional 10 minutes. Allow 5 to 10 minutes to cool.
Happy White Day. :-)

I didn't feel like going to the store so we are eating homemade bread this week. It is honey wheat and almost gone. I am going to end up at the store anyways. I made 2 loaves 2 days ago. I have 7 slices left (I ate a slice immediately following this photo). Let's just say it went over well.
homemade SMG in 9mm. The "trigger" is the half shown ball bearing rear of the trigger guard, you fire by compressing it with your finger. though clumsy in appearance, it can dish out 9mm Parabellum rounds at 550 RPM. and remember,
"With a Modern Force, oftentimes soldiers will have advanced rifles with the most up to date forward grips, lasers, scopes, and coffee makers........... but the man you should fear the most is the one with duct tape holding his hand guards on his rifle."
So I want to make yet another version of chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. My dilemma? Australia doesn't seem to sell mini chocolate chips. And you absolutely need mini choc chips if you're making chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes; regular-sized chips are just too big for this particular purpose.
And so I set to the task of making my own mini chocolate chips. It isn't difficult at all. Melt some chocolate. Cool it until it is thick and pipeable. Spoon it into a ziploc bag, snip off a tiny piece from the corner of the bag and pipe away.
Easy.

Did my first enlarging in 30 years yesterday.
It was a bit damp outdoors so spent the day making a lightbox for my monster 4x5 camera to see if it would work as a 4x5 enlarger.
Not a bad result although the light is a little uneven so needs a bit of refining.
All you need to make this DIY spot cooler is a bucket, some PVC pipe, a fan, and ice, reusable ice packs, and a frozen gallon jug of water—the homemade air conditioner was able to lower the temperature of a small room by only 2° to 3° F, and within 30 minutes the room temperature began to rise again.
The frozen jug of water was the best for cooling, apparently because it allows enough air to circulate around the jug to sufficiently cool it. And while the ice cubes initially produced the lowest air temperature, once they started melting the temperature measured outside the duct (pipe or cup) wasn’t much different than the room temperature. Again, the room temperature began to rise in 30 minutes.
