Today I played with something so cool and different!
I made buttons of my son's face!!! ^u^
I LOVE transparent things so this worked perfectly for me!
I was looking for cool and different ways of making my own labels and I think I found it.
I did not have time to work on the labels yet, but as soon as they are done, I'll post in here.
The buttons are very easy to make: you just need to have the Shrink Dinks plastic, scrapbook cutter, punch hole, permanent marker pens and an oven. You cut the plastic, make your drawing on it, put it on the oven and it's done!!! ^u^
It shrinks and gets thicker than the original plastic! It's so cool!!! ^u^
You can make a lot of stuff with it!!

toppings: Yves fake pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach, mozzarella cheese balls, and shredded mozzarella cheese, homemade tomato sauce with thai chilis, garlic and onions. The thai chilis did the trick.
Boneless skinless chicken thighs with a Madeira, mushroom and sun dried tomato sauce, oven baked paprika parsnip fries and steamed broccoli.. It was delicious if I say so myself..
Those parsnip fries are loaded with fiber and totally amazing and dead easy to make.

Coffee Soap & Stamp
Need a super simple gift to make? This homemade soap turns out to have a nice coffee scent.
This natural homemade coffee soap recipe is made using real brewed coffee and the cold process soapmaking method.
The caffeine in this soap will help cellulite and bring blood to the surface of the skin. a perfect morning shower soap!
Chris and I made caramels over the weekend using Grammy's recipe....and yesterday I wrapped them in wax paper like she used to. They don't taste quite as good as when she made them, but I think it's more that things taste better when someone else makes them. Hope you have a great day!
I designed and made this stud welder gun from scratch. When at the highest discharge setting the sound is like a large caliber gunpowder gun going off. The short quarter inch thick threaded rod (which is what a stud is) on the sheet metal on the right was welded by this process. The studs are bought from a supplier and have a short needle point on a convex base. The gun releases a compressed spring, pushes the needle point into the metal, the circuit is completed and the discharge melts the metals together. The power source is a set of capacitors. See my "Homemade Stud Welder" in this series to see the power source box: flickr.com/photos/21702692@N05/2123493649/
These are the best things ever. We don't eat them too often, but when you make them yourself, you can control the ingredients!
Making homemade detergent based on this recipe. It doesn't look exactly like storebought detergent -- it's lumpier -- but that might be because I didn't follow the directions exactly. It works great as far as I can tell, and smells nice and clean!
im on this cooking kick and bought some yeast, so i've been cooking up a storm.
I used this recipe:

This is a break away from my normal type of photograph, but someone had to document how delicious homemade pizza night turned out!
We used burrata, heirloom tomatoes, and prosciutto for the first round.
i have a weak spot for pizza. i can eat it all the time. for some reason when i make it at home i always roll out the dough in a rectangle. not sure why. this is made with homemade crust and sauce, and topped with pepperoni, salami, smoked ham, mozzarella and parmesan.
This is a 12-piece homemade edible puzzle. I made the art royal icing painted with food colorings and lemon extract. Combining my love of jigsawing and baking, inspired by the colors in Santorini.

Homemade Ice Cream
One of my birthday gifts last year was an ice cream maker. It’s surprisingly easy to use and since my mother likes ice cream more than anyone else I know, it’s an easy treat to make for her when I think of it. I mentioned in passing that I just forget to put heavy cream and whole milk on the grocery list… and next time I went to the store, guess what was on mom’s grocery list? She’s so cute. She really does love ice cream more than anyone I’ve ever known. And that’s saying something because I really love ice cream too!
