Flamenco, in its strictest sense, is an art form based on the various folkloric music traditions of southern Spain, developed within the gitano subculture of the region of Andalusia, but also having a historical presence in Extremadura and Murcia. In a wider sense, it is a portmanteau term used to refer to a variety of both contemporary and traditional musical styles typical of southern Spain. Flamenco is closely associated to the gitanos of the Romani ethnicity who have contributed significantly to its origination and professionalization. However, its style is uniquely Andalusian and flamenco artists have historically included Spaniards of both gitano and non-gitano heritage.
The oldest record of flamenco music dates to 1774 in the book Las Cartas Marruecas by José Cadalso. The development of flamenco over the past two centuries is well documented: "the theatre movement of sainetes (one-act plays) and tonadillas, popular song books and song sheets, customs, studies of dances, and toques, perfection, newspapers, graphic documents in paintings and engravings. ... in continuous evolution together with rhythm, the poetic stanzas, and the ambiance.”
On 16 November 2010, UNESCO declared flamenco one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Por meio da Educação, o Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) reforça a luta por um novo projeto de agricultura, que respeite a natureza e todas as formas de vida. Esse objetivo se fortalece com a formatura de 44 jovens camponeses, oriundos de dez estados, no Curso Superior de Agronomia com Ênfase em Agroecologia. A colação de grau dos trabalhadores Sem Terra e Atingidos por Barragens foi realizada na noite do dia 15 de dezembro de 2018 no Assentamento Novo Sarandi, em Sarandi, no Norte do Rio Grande do Sul.
As aulas de Bacharelado em Agronomia acontecem desde 2014 no Instituto Educar, uma escola de ensino superior e técnico construída pelo MST na antiga Fazenda Annoni, em Pontão, também na região Norte gaúcha. Essa é a primeira turma de engenheiros agrônomos formada na instituição. A segunda conclui seus estudos em 2020 e a terceira deve ingressar em fevereiro de 2019. O curso, que possui cinco anos de duração e ocorre em regime de alternância, é viabilizado através do Programa Nacional de Educação na Reforma Agrária (Pronera), em parceria com a Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul (UFFS) – Campus Erechim.
Colação de grau
O ato de colação de grau lembrou o papel histórico das mulheres camponesas na descoberta e no desenvolvimento da agricultura, por meio do cultivo e da preservação de sementes crioulas. Também criticou a ofensiva do modelo capitalista de produção, que destrói a natureza com o uso abusivo de insumos químicos, agrotóxicos e sementes transgênicas. O novo projeto de agricultura, defendido pelo MST para o campo brasileiro, foi representado pelos 44 jovens formandos, que simbolizaram o sonho de milhares de famílias Sem Terra de transformar a sociedade com a agroecologia.
Nesse sentido, a assentada Irene Manfio ressaltou que esse novo projeto deve incluir “as famílias camponesas como sujeitos de uma transformação histórica no campo e na cidade” e ser capaz de produzir alimentos saudáveis e de interpretar a natureza como aliada e não como inimiga. “Queremos relações mais humanas e não de interesses econômicos. Assim, se faz necessário formar agrônomos militantes que construam junto com o campesinato a agroecologia”, disse.
O juramento dos formandos complementou o tom das declarações de Irene. Eles se comprometeram a trabalhar pelo bem da humanidade, a respeitar a natureza e os saberes camponeses, a buscar a sustentabilidade ambiental, uma agricultura socialmente justa, economicamente viável e ecologicamente sustentável, além de compartilhar seus conhecimentos, honrar o legado de luta herdado de seus pais e educadores e sempre seguir, na execução das atividades de Agronomia, os princípios da agroecologia.
Desafios e superações
Os oradores Tatiana Lopes e Lucas da Silva, representando todos os integrantes da turma, compartilharam com os participantes da formatura os momentos mais marcantes durante os cinco anos de curso. Lembraram que a ocupação do espaço universitário ainda é um privilégio no país e uma barreira colocada principalmente aos filhos de camponeses, historicamente privados do direito de estudar. Diante dessa realidade, destacaram a luta do MST desde 2012 para tornar possível o Curso Superior de Agronomia com Ênfase em Agroecologia no Instituto Educar. “O processo inicial não foi fácil. Houve intensas negociações com representantes da universidade, apresentando o projeto, os objetivos do curso, a importância da formação para a juventude camponesa e do desenvolvimento da produção agroecológica nos assentamento de Reforma Agrária”, resgataram.
Segundo os recém-formados, lutas em torno de objetivos coletivos se fizeram necessárias para garantir a continuidade dos seus estudos, em função do desmonte do Pronera após o golpe político, midiático e parlamentar de 2016. Recordaram a maturidade que tiveram para enfrentar aquele momento, com a decisão de destinar recursos que estavam sendo guardados à formatura para apoiar financeiramente o Instituto Educar, garantir a infraestrutura básica e impedir a paralisação das aulas.
Para a turma, que recebeu o nome de Ênio Guterres — em homenagem e memória ao engenheiro agrônomo e militante da agroecologia falecido em 2005 —, a elaboração teórica e a pesquisa acadêmica também foram grandes desafios, pois vinham acompanhadas da tarefa de estudar e pesquisar costumes, técnicas, culturas e problemáticas que envolveriam a base Sem Terra. No entanto, os jovens se destacaram pela qualidade dos trabalhos de conclusão de curso e o resultado das avaliações, feitas por doutores — as notas mais baixas foram oito, 15 jovens receberam nota 10 e 15 já estão publicando artigos.
Além disso, o único trabalho brasileiro premiado na Conferência Internacional sobre Agricultura e Alimentação em uma Sociedade Urbanizada, evento que envolveu este ano mais de 400 elaborações de acadêmicos, mestres e doutores de 32 países em Porto Alegre, é de autoria da primeira turma de Agronomia do Instituto Educar. Conforme a educadora Salete Campigotto, os recém-formados possuem alta qualidade e contribuirão com o desenvolvimento sustentável dos assentamentos da Reforma Agrária. “Muitos já estão inseridos em cooperativas e no Setor de Produção do MST em várias regiões do Brasil, e alguns jovens ajudarão camponeses a aplicarem a agroecologia na Venezuela e no Haiti”, contou.
Motivos de orgulho
O engenheiro agrônomo Adalberto Martins foi escolhido para ser paraninfo da turma Ênio Guterres, juntamente com a educadora Salete Campigotto. Durante o ato de colação de grau, eles demonstraram o orgulho que sentem pela formação dos pioneiros em Agronomia do Instituto Educar e elogiaram a trajetória trilhada pelos 44 formandos durante as etapas do curso. “Vocês amadureceram e se transformaram. Se tornaram seres humanos melhores e comprometidos com os camponeses e as mudanças necessárias ao país. Essa turma nos orgulha, porque é a maior formada pela UFFS no Campus de Erechim, porque alguns de vocês nós vimos crianças, vimos seus pais em acampamentos e em assentamentos se sacrificando para organizar o MST. Sem vocês aqui hoje, isso tudo não faria sentido. Agora é a hora de nos responsabilizarmos, de darmos sequência a essa dedicação pela causa popular”, apontou Martins.
Já Mário Lill, coordenador geral do Instituto Educar, agradeceu a todos que, de uma forma ou outra, contribuíram para que o curso se tornasse realidade. Ele destacou que a instituição é resultado da luta do MST, que traz como frutos a Reforma Agrária, a reorganização da produção, a socialização do conhecimento e condições melhores de vida. “O Educar fez tudo o que pôde para que os formandos saíssem daqui os mais humanos possíveis e com o máximo de conhecimento para transformar a produção em nossos assentamentos”, finalizou.

Oregon Coast
The Oregon Coast is a region of the U.S. state of Oregon. It runs generally north-south along the Pacific Ocean, forming the western border of the state; the region is bounded to the east by the Oregon Coast Range. The Oregon Coast stretches approximately 363 miles (584 km) from the Columbia River in the north to the Oregon–California state border in the south. The Oregon Coast is not a specific geological, environmental, or political entity but, instead, includes the entire coastline of Oregon, including the Columbia River Estuary.
1967's Oregon Beach Bill allows free beach access to everyone. This bill allows private beach landowners to retain certain beach land rights, but it removes the property tax obligation of the beach landowner. In exchange, the beach landowner grants an easement passage to pedestrians. The Beach Bill grants a public access easement on the beach that cannot be taken away by the landowner nor can the landowner build on the beach.[1]
Traditionally, the Oregon Coast is regarded as three distinct sub-regions,[2] each with its own local features and regional history. While there are no legal or objective boundaries, most Oregonians consider the three regions to be:
The North Coast, which stretches from the Columbia River to Neskowin.[3]
The Central Coast, which stretches from Lincoln City to Florence.[4]
The South Coast, which stretches from Reedsport to the Oregon–California border.[5]
The largest city along the Oregon Coast is Coos Bay—population 16,000[6]—in Coos County on the South Coast. U.S. Route 101 is the primary highway from Astoria to Brookings, and is known for its scenic overlooks of the Pacific Ocean. There are over 80 state parks and recreation areas along the Oregon Coast. However, there are only a few highways that cross the coast mountains from the interior to the coast. This has led to highways US-20, US-30, US-26, SR-18 and SR-22, all serving the Willamette Valley / Portland area to the North and Central Coasts as being considered some of the worst in terms of traffic,[7] a conclusion disputed by the Oregon Department of Transportation. Highways SR-18 and US-20 are considered two of the most dangerous roads in the state.[8]
The Oregon Coast includes Clatsop County, Tillamook County, Lincoln County, western Lane County, western Douglas County, Coos County, and Curry County.

Una serie de recomendaciones estandarizadas para los municipios y privados, interesados en habilitar estacionamientos para bicicletas de forma correcta y segura, además de incentivar el uso de este medio de transporte, contiene el primer “Manual de Biciestacionamientos” elaborado por el Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo.
Las nuevas medidas implementadas por el Minvu en los proyectos de vialidad y espacios públicos, fueron dadas a conocer por la alcaldesa Virginia Reginato, el Seremi de Vivienda y Urbanismo, Matías Avsolomovich, la directora del Serviu, Francisca Cruz, y la concejal Mafalda Reginato, durante una actividad llevada a cabo en el borde costero de Viña del Mar.
En la presentación oficial de este manual, participaron además integrantes de la agrupación Furiosos Ciclistas, quienes acompañaron a las autoridades durante el recorrido que afectuaron por el sector, oportunidad en la que mostraron las características de estos aparcaderos y procedieron a repartir folletería.
“En Viña del Mar, la Ciudad del Deporte incentivamos desde hace ya varios años el uso de la bicicleta, y para ello se ha construido esta extensa ciclovía por el borde costero, con el fin de promover el uso de este medio de transporte. Además hemos instalado y habilitado en diferentes recintos municipales y deportivos estacionamientos para bicicletas, de manera de facilitar su uso. Ahora con este manual, que específica como deben construirse los nuevos lugares, será un gran aporte para que en los futuros proyectos de este tipo que realice el municipio, pueda diseñar el espacio como corresponde, de manera que quienes utilicen este medio de transporte que además fomenta la actividad física, puedan contar con un lugar más seguro.”, dijo la alcaldesa.
Esta iniciativa fue diseñada en forma conjunta entre el Gobierno y grupos ciudadanos con el objetivo de generar las herramientas necesarias y de calidad a quienes cada vez más prefieren optar por este medio de transporte, el que no sólo permite ahorrar dinero y tiempo, sino que también entrega la cuota de actividad física diaria que necesitamos, genera descongestión vial y ayuda a descontaminar el medioambiente, logrando con todo ello, una ciudad con mayor calidad de vida urbana.
El Seremi de Vivienda Matías Avsolomovich, dijo que “el Gobierno ha establecido nuevas normativas para que los edificios de uso público y habitacionales tengan una cuota de estacionamientos para bicicletas. Desde se punto de vista de los planes reguladores, se van a poder exigir estacionamiento de bicicletas en todas las edificaciones, y por nuestra parte hemos generado los primeros proyectos de ciclovía en placilla y el próximo año una red en Nogales”.
Por su parte la directora del Serviu Francisca Cruz señaló que “el compromiso del Ministerio es mejorar la calidad de vida y todos los proyectos de espacio público, deben incorporar estacionamientos de bicicletas, de tal forma de incentivar el uso de este medio de transporte”.
El dirigente del la agrupación Furiosos Ciclistas, manifestó su aprobación a este tipo de cicleteros, ya que indicó que permite amarrar dos bicicletas y ojalá se implemente en todos los lugares, destacando que este es un gran paso para seguir incentivando a más ciclistas

The glaze bubbled on the egg drop soup bowl that I couldn't give her. The glaze needs to be more even too.

Exposição de Bonsais
Ocorreu com todo êxito mais uma Exposição de Bonsais realizada na Praça de Ciências em Vitória.
Estiveram expondo mais de 15 Bonsaístas de várias Regiões do Estado e o Público adepto desta Arte ou "Não" esteve presente; sendo este, o fator mais importante do Evento.
Foram mais de 50 bonsais expostos que demonstravam as Formas, Fases de Desenvolvimento e Espécies de Bonsais.
Durante o Evento (das 14 às 18 horas) foram feitas várias demonstrações de técnicas de como se preparar, cuidar e manter um Bonsai.
O próximo evento deverá ocorrer em Abril/2014 na Cidade de Linhares e oportunamente o Bonsai Clube Capixaba - BCC estará, através das Redes Sociais, divulgando o Local, Data e Hora da próxima Exposição.

A PERFECTLY FORMED DESIGN, CHARACTERISED BY SPECIAL DETAILS. The back of the designC is refined by unique engravings: the predicate “Made in Germany” and the individual numbering on the cap, the Otto Hutt logo and the sign for pure 925/- sterling silver, of which the fountain pen is mainly made, on the barrel. These serve as helpful markers when refilling the pen. When the Otto Hutt logo is in line with the mark on the end of the barrel, it signals that the final writing position has been reached. Made of precious 925/- sterling silver, flawlessly finished. The matt black, PVD-coated writing unit sets qualitative and ergonomic standards. The solid 18kt yellow gold index on the barrel and cap replaces the “classic” clip. The specially developed “Pull + Twist” mechanism is in keeping with our philosophy of combining user-oriented design with technical innovation. A slow pull brings it into the filling position. The designC then only needs to be dipped into an inkwell and twisted back to take up ink via its gold nib. As a world first, this complex mechanism is entirely in keeping with the character of Otto Hutt’s 100th anniversary. A leather case made of walk leather offers protection and security. As a southern German, vegetable-tanned and natural product, it is in keeping with sustainability. In the production process, the leather is wetted, carefully shaped and heated in a rare procedure. designC comes in an expressive silver box that underlines the character of the collector’s item. The writing instrument is completed by the high-quality leather case, a silver cleaning cloth, the 100YRS booklet, the numbered certificate of authenticity and a jar of document-proof ink. The total silver weight is 34gr. the total gold weight is 1gr.
One of a number of works chosen by me as my contribution to a For Now group exhibition at the Create Centre Bristol from July 14th - August 8th 2014. The theme of the exhibition is 'State of Flux' and my works are inspired by biological forms mostly but not exclusively at the cellular level or below. They are intended to remind the viewer of the inner beauty of the architecture of Nature and also the fragility of the global ecology in the face of mass human intrusion.
