Célébrant une fleur,c'est un hymne à la femme
Que Bécaud a chanté avec toute son âme.

Tilya-Kori-Madrasa forms together with two other madrasahs the world famous Registan in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It was built 1646-1660 and while in Ulugh Bek you find many souvenir shops, here you find resplendent fairytale ceiling work.
Zusammen mit zwei weiteren Medresen gehört Tilya-Kori-Madrasa zum weltberühmten Registan in Samarkand, Usbekistan. Sie wurde in den Jahren 1646 bis 1660 erbaut. Während in Ulugh Bek viele kleine Souvenirläden zu finden sind, findet man hier farbenfrohe prächtige Deckenkunst, die einen an Märchen erinnert.

when i downloaded this image from my camera i knew instantly that i needed to convert it to black & white with just a bit of tint. to me i can better appreciate this flower's beautiful form, its graceful lines and subtle textures, without the distraction of colors.

Highly social all year long, Snowy Egrets forage with gulls, terns, ibises, and other herons, and they nest in colonies alongside many other species, including Great Egrets, night-herons, Glossy Ibises, Little Blue Herons, Tricolored Herons, Cattle Egrets, and Roseate Spoonbills.

Busy little birdie, collecting what is possibly cat hair, for lining the nest.
In a few weeks’ time, the babies will be around, shouting to be fed. It’s very odd to watch as the youngsters look almost twice the size of the parents, and the poor adults just flit around in an exhausting cacophony of “feed me”, “no, me”, no, MEEEE”…”and can you hurry it up!” Poor wee souls. They must be a little relieved when all the babies fledge.
For now, though, this little sweetie is flying back and forth to the nest, sourcing grass, twigs and my cats’ hair, to make it as warm and cozy as possible for the eggs/chicks.

El Rio Guadalentín nace en la Sierra del Pozo, en el Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas, concretamente en el municipio jiennese de Pozo Alcon, formándose de pequeños arroyos que bajan de la sierra de la Cabrilla a la altura del Majal de la Carrasca, donde recibe al Arroyo de los Arenales y ya con cauce permanente fluye por el fondo de un profundo barranco en dirección sur.
Hasta su llegada al embalse de la Bolera, recibe aguas del Arroyo de San Pedro, del Arroyo de los Tornillos de Gualay, del Arroyo de las Acebadillas y del Arroyo Frío, para despues, y en dicho embalse recibir aguas del Arroyo de Guazalamanco, del Arroyo de la Rambla, del Arroyo de la Venta y del Arroyo del Vidrio.
Bajo el pantano atraviesa la Cerrada de la Bolera y el Paraje de Peralta, entre otros, recibiendo aguas del Arroyo de la Alcantarilla y de un nacimiento que surge del Peñon de Peralta.
Este rio desemboca en el río Guadiana Menor, uno de los principales afluentes del Rio Guadalquvir,i a la altura del Pantano del Negratín, entre los municipios granadinos de Cuevas del Campo y Zújar.

Formado por 2.711 bloques de hormigón de diferentes alturas, el Monumento al Holocausto de Berlín es una joya arquitectónica construida en memoria de los judíos asesinados en Europa que recuerda uno de los episodios más oscuros de la humanidad.
Edificado en las cercanías de la Puerta de Brandenburgo entre los años 2003 y 2005, el monumento en memoria de los judíos asesinados en Europa pretende enfrentarse a la noción de monumento en sí misma. La traducción literal del nombre alemán es "Monumento memorial a los judíos asesinados en Europa".
Se trata de una cuadrícula formada por 2.711 bloques de hormigón de diferentes alturas, que permite que los visitantes elijan su camino de entrada y salida como si se tratara de un laberinto.

The Great Kiskadee is one of the larger and more showy tyrant flycatchers and exhibits an array of interesting behavior.
Unlike most tyrant flycatchers, the Great Kiskadee freely displays its bright crown stripe. When especially excited, it erects its yellow crown feathers, forming an ephemeral crest.
The Great Kiskadee’s total range extends from south Texas through Mexico and Central America to central Argentina. It is found on some Caribbean islands, e. g. Trinidad, and has been introduced to Bermuda.

Pyramid Lake is a reservoir formed by Pyramid Dam on Piru Creek in the eastern San Emigdio Mountains, near Castaic, Southern California. It is a part of the West Branch California Aqueduct, which is a part of the California State Water Project. Its water is fed by the system after being pumped up from the San Joaquin Valley and through the Tehachapi Mountains.
In 1843, gold was discovered near what is now Pyramid Lake, in the Santa Feliciana Canyon, just south of what is now Pyramid Dam. The small find failed to trigger a rush to the mountainous countryside. Only Francisco Lopes, owner of Rancho Temescal, a Mexican land grant, and a handful of ranchers attempted to settle the region.
This lake was created in 1972, and completed in 1973, as a holding reservoir for the California State Water Project. The lake was named after a pyramid-shaped rock carved out by engineers building U.S. Route 99. Travelers between Los Angeles and Bakersfield christened the landmark “Pyramid Rock,” which still stands just adjacent to the dam.
Pyramid Lake is the deepest lake in the California Water Project system, built up along the steep canyon walls surrounding Piru Creek.
The 180,000 acre⋅ft (220,000,000 m3) reservoir lies on the border between the Angeles National Forest and the Los Padres National Forest, in the northwestern portion of Los Angeles County. It is to the west of Interstate 5 (I-5) south of Tejon Pass. The former alignment of US 99 is below the waters here, replaced by I-5.

Just below the dam, Piru Creek returns to its natural state as it winds down through the Topatopa Mountains to feed into the Lake Piru reservoir and later the Santa Clara River. Pumps carry water from Pyramid Lake to Castaic Lake, which is the terminus of the west branch of the aqueduct. Pyramid and Castaic act as the upper and lower reservoirs for a 1,495-megawatt pumped storage hydroelectric plant.

Su nombre, kleistos, deriva del griego y significa cerrado, debido a que sus flores , que surgen a lo largo del tallo, son tubulares o en forma de embudo y apenas abiertas, siendo visibles solamente el estilo y los.Es endémica de Bolivia una especie común en la vida silvestre.Los tallos, cuelgan a más de 2 m y se suelen ramificar profusamente desde la base formando apretados macizos. también están cubiertas de cerdas de color blanquecino, tan densamente, que ocultan el tallo y parecen pelos blancos largos los que han originado su nombre.

La sierra de Béjar forma parte del sistema Central y es considerada como el sector más occidental de la sierra de Gredos, dentro de la cual se englobaría. Su cota más alta es el Canchal de la Ceja de 2428 msnm.

Le château se présente sous la forme d'une enceinte rectangulaire de 60 m de long sur 25 m de large, et d'un donjon carré, qui occupe la partie la plus élevée de la falaise, à l'à-pic. Une seconde enceinte englobe l'ensemble délimitant un espace de 165 m le long de la falaise, sur 45 à 65 m de large. Un fossé taillé dans le roc en retour jusqu'au bord de la falaise, isole le tout de l'arrière pays3.
Au XIIIème et XIVème siècles, le château se compose d'une basse-cour dont le bourg de Montferrand est en prolongement, protégé par un pont-levis dominant des fossés. Une douzaine de familles des sujets du seigneur y résident. C'est dans le château que les sires de Montferrand reçoivent l’hommage de ceux de Thoraise, Torpes et Corcondray, tous les parents de la maison Montferrand. Pour autant, les seigneurs n'y résident pas à l'année : ils habitent Besançon.
L'enceinte du château constituée par une muraille où se dresse encore aujourd'hui le donjon, est alors habitée par un châtelain, un procureur, un receveur, un notaire et une douzaine d'hommes d'armes. En temps de conflit, les hommes d'armes sont secondés par tous les sujets de la seigneurie qui sont tenus de s’y réfugier avec leurs familles et leurs biens, et d’y faire à tour de rôle le guet et la garde de jour comme de nuit pour le moment venu ainsi que de prêter main-forte aux premiers.
En 1654, une visite du château donne une description détaillée des lieux :
le petit bourg composé alors d'une vingtaine de maisons réparties de part et d’autre d’une rue centrale est totalement brûlé sauf une habitation ;
le second bourg compte la grange du seigneur et le four, lui aussi brûlé ;
au château à proprement parler, le donjon ainsi que le logement sont également brûlés, seule la chapelle du milieu est dans un état de conservation convenable.

Cycads are seed plants with a very long fossil history that were formerly more abundant and more diverse than they are today.They have a cylindrical trunk which usually does not branch. Leaves grow directly from the trunk, and typically fall when older, leaving a crown of leaves at the top.
