The 'Standard 2' was my engine in the afternoon: a local train to Rothley and back, and then six coaches to Leicester and back - which I fired and my mate drove. A thoroughly enjoyable turn.

One place you might hope to find solitude and the mental room for contemplation is at a museum or art gallery.....places that seem to demand a different kind of behavior than in a restaurant or a mall or other bustling public space. People stand quietly, speechless, as they study paintings by French artist James Tissot at The Legion of Honor Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco.

Bit of a pun that, as Appomattox is his name. Apple looking a little uncomfortable wearing a present from Papaw and Mawma! For those who don't know, Appomattox is the place where Lee surrendered to Grant, thus ending the American Civil War.

I used the wonderful CoffeeShop Eye Bright for this effect.

 

Also used aFlorabella texure: tea-stained overlay, I think.

Apparently there are 199 steps up to Whitby abbey, I started counting, then got bored and took them 2 at a time.

How can such tiny minds even begin to fathom the vastness of space that surrounds them? Well this tiny spider doesn't seem to have any problem so perhaps there's hope for the rest of us. ;-)
