The water goes calm as the sun falls behind the mountains, a perfect time to stare at Mount Cook and the blue waters beneath it
A man contemplating what pose to strike for all his social media followers to see. "This is me at lunch."
A majestically beautiful animal, so much like us, it is amazing to see them. I really love animals, especially in those moments when they don't seem to notice us and are absorbed in themselves.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art has mounted an extraordinary retrospective of Paul Strand's work. The curators have filled gallery after gallery with his haunting portraits of people and places, the images almost all of modest or even very small size, formats that require close inspection and foster a wonderful feeling of intimacy for the viewing. Also included are 3 of his short films, startling and personal.
The exhibit moves to Europe in January and, apparently, does not return to the U.S.
See it if you can.

White-crowned Sparrow. Because male White-crowned Sparrows learn the songs they grew up with and do not travel far from where they were raised, song dialects frequently form. Males on the edge of two dialects may be bilingual and able to sing both dialects. – Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s All About Birds IMG_4926

This is the second theme from my recent shoot with some great local talents. This time we had an amazing hair stylist, Panagiotis Ioannou.
We also had a couple of amazing dresses from local fashion designers.
