High wind conditions and this mature Bald Eagle seemed to be undecided as to what he should do. Kind of like we are right now when trying to make a decision about leaving the house.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to view, fave or comment on my photo. It is very much appreciated!

Ascending the Besseggen Ridge in Jotunheimen national park, Norway, on our first hike there. A hiker pauses on the ridge, gazing at the unfolding vistas. It is an incredible hike with the trail rising up steeply on a rocky ridge to reveal the glacier fed turquoise blue waters of Lake Gjende deep below on one side and the darker grey waters of Lake Bessvatnet on the other side, surrounded by rugged snow-dotted peaks. It was an unrelenting climb for a while but the views on top of the ridge and along the way were unbelievably rewarding. One of the most spectacular hikes I have done, but also unnerving at times, with the trail giving way to dizzying depths thousands of feet below. We were lucky to get decent weather on the way up but the clouds rolled in quickly, the rain making the rocks somewhat slippery and the descent (not so steep) was through rain, hail and sleet!
I have more photos from here, but there just wasn't much space on the ridge to hang out and wait for the best shot. There were a lot of hikers, but I like this one that I managed to capture with just one person in the foreground ...
Give yourself the gift of five minutes of contemplation, in awe of everything you see around you, go outside and breathe it all in.

Greenland’s Ilulissat Icefjord is the sea mouth of Sermeq Kujalleq, one of the few glaciers through which the Greenland ice cap reaches the sea.
Located on the west coast of Greenland, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, Sermeq Kujalleq is one of the fastest (19 m per day) and most active glaciers in the world.

The path to Hel
Who shall sing me,
Into deathsleep sling me,
When I on the path to Hel go,
And this track I tread
Is cold, so cold, so cold.
I sought the songs,
I sent the songs.
Then the deepest well
Gave me tears so harsh
From the Slain-father's pledge.
I know everything, Odin,
To whom you gave your eye.
Who shall sing me,
Into deathsleep sling me,
Whence I on the path to Hel go,
And this track I tread
Is cold, so cold, so cold.
Early or in the day's end,
The raven still knows if I fall.
Once you stand at the gate to Hel
And when you have to tear free,
I shall follow you
Over Gjallarbrú with my song.
You will be free from the bonds that bind you,
You are free from the bonds that bound you!
"Cattle die,
Friends die,
So, too, must you die.
Though one thing
Never dies;
The fair fame one has earned.
Cattle die,
Friends die,
So, too, must you die.
I know one,
That never dies;
Judgement of a dead man's life.

Someone had placed this chair on top of a rock on the jetty, and to my surprise it was still there several days later.
Tidda and I enjoyed a beautiful sunset in the company of a few ravens but, no, I did not try to sit on that chair!

Contemplating from atop the hill, this cosy bench that deserved two seaters and their intimate rituals, I could not spoil this scenery...Missing.
