Evidence suggest Borobudur was constructed in the 9th century and abandoned following the 14th century decline of Buddhist and Hindu kingdoms in Java, and the Javanese conversion to Islam. Worldwide knowledge of its existence was sparked in 1814 by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, then the British ruler of Java, who was advised of its location by native Indonesians. Borobudur has since been preserved through several restorations. The largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO, following which the monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

One place you might hope to find solitude and the mental room for contemplation is at a museum or art gallery.....places that seem to demand a different kind of behavior than in a restaurant or a mall or other bustling public space. People stand quietly, speechless, as they study paintings by French artist James Tissot at The Legion of Honor Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco.
Like bayou kudzu, the invasive water hyacinth has everyone a bit perplexed, even the wildlife. Tri-colored Heron on Horsepen Bayou.

Visit to the Michigan Firehouse museum in Ypsilanti today, never knew it was there.. my goal today was not to shoot the obvious, but to look closer find interesting things to shoot. No, this is not one of them... anyhow, after getting some shots, I saw the chief seated there, and I really wanted to do a SP with him.. and then I spotted the uniform. Didn't know if I could use it, so kept contemplating whether I should just put it on an invite trouble from the museum authorities or just forget about the SP.. I slowly lifted the coat, and it revealed a sign that read, "Try me on"..!!!!!!! "I was like a kid on a Christmas morning..!!!!!!"
So, despite all the other shots I took, I decide to post this one 'coz I hadn't done a SP in a while...
Thanks
