Comparison of the original inspiration with the Lego version.

This is the out of camera shot which came out fine, but in my opinion needed more contrasts and a bit of straightening. Thank you for your comments, support, and death threats! 8)

They aren't perfect, of course, but for the difficult shapes and curves of the car and scales of the models, I'm pretty satisfied. Need to play around a little bit with the side greebling on the big 'un.

This comparison should answer some of the questions I have received about the differences between the TBLeague/Phicen body and other Fashion Dolls!

From L to R BODYTYPES are FR2, COLOR INFUSION, INDUSTRY, TBLEAGUE, DYNAMITE GIRL, VICTOIRE!

Trying to be as objective as I can (with limited capabilities), the images in the collage are as follows:

Top - RAW (As Shot): NEF File Straight from a Nikon D7000 (No Post Production)

Middle - Nikon Camera Raw: Manual Process (No Photoshop Post Production)

Bottom - Lightroom CC: "Auto" (with some minor adjustments) and "Enhance" (No Photoshop Post Production, but scaled down to fit in the comparison collage)

Hello Everyone! Thought I would share this picture illustrating the similarities and differences of these dolls.

As you can see, Bend Leg/TNT Francie is just slightly taller than Tuli Chan, Takara Barbie and Baggie Francie.

Both Takara Barbie and Tuli Chan bend and pose with wires placed in their limbs.

Tuli chan has hips that are just slightly wider and therefore her pants are a bit loose when placed on Francie.

There are also differences in their breasts. Takara Barbie's breasts are more pointed than Francie's and Tuli Chan's are just slightly smaller than Francie's but the same shape.

Artist: Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema, English

b. 1836, Dronrijp, Netherlands; d. 1912, Wiesbaden, Germany

The artist specialized in the depiction of historic genre scenes. Most, following a visit to Pompeii in 1863, were set in an idealized recreation of ancient Greece or Rome. His paintings are known for his brilliant technique, accurate archaeological detail and cool marble settings.

In paintings like this one, he created a world of spender, sunlight and gentle sentiment, populated mostly by sensuous women clad in exotic and revealing costumes.

Here's a side by side comparison: an official Bumba illustration on the right and my LEGO Bumba MOC on the left.

Bumba the clown

This MOC had some fun challenges. For instance, the inside construction of Bumba's head and placing his heart perfectly tight on his rounded tummy. His head, arms and feet can be posed. Bumba comes with his Sticky Magico.

Tumbi the elephant

The hardest part was making the rug on Tumbi's back stick out 1 plate thick on all sides. Also, It took me a while to figure out how to make the round shape for the circus pedestal. It has studs on top to attach Tumbi.

Gwido the penguin

Nothing to fancy here, just a fun build of a penguin on a giant skateboard!

Magic rabbit

A rabbit peeping out of a high hat. The classic magic trick everybody loves 😄

This is a reference photo for those interested in the height comparisons of these dolls. I will try to post a photo with them nude in a while.

I'm sure the guy in the middle looks kind of familiar, Mewi v2. Thing is, I never really showed off what Mewi v1 looked like beyond a brief description over on my DA. Well, here he is, the little gremlin on the left, at least as best as I remember him. I probably built him around... 15? so things have come a ways since them. Also had to show off some of the improvements (I hope) made in this new version.

From Left to Right: G.I. Joe - Max Steel - Flynn Rider on Bruce Lee body - Mermaid Tale Ken on Ryan body - Kristoff (Disney Prince Body)

A few weeks ago I purchased a G.I. Joe doll with the intention of using him as a body donor for my Kristoff or Hans dolls from the Disney Store, since I despise their original bodies. To my dismay, while comparing him to Kristoff's body, he's much smaller in height, and while I obviously prefer G.I. Joe's articulation, I can't stand the fact that, in this body, he'd be the exact same size as Anna or Elsa or any other Disney Store female doll. So, I brought out all of my articulated male guys for a comparison.

Kristoff and Ken are roughly the same size but Ken's head is pivotal while Kristoff's just moves from sides to sides. I know it's possible to modify the non-pivotal heads to fit on pivotal neck knobs but alas, Ken is too skinny for Kristoff's outfit, and his articulation isn't that great anyway.

I was lucky that my lame uncle forgot his (I'm pretty sure it's Medicom) Bruce Lee action figure, and Mr. Lee has, as you can see here, both a rotational neck like the DS' guys and a pivot point in the base of his neck so rebodying Flynn was easy as cake. You can see Flynn is slightly smaller than Ken, but he's actually not as tall compared to Rapunzel: a.dilcdn.com/bl/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2013/11/Rapunz... so I didn't have any issues with it. The skintone isn't a 100% match but with the outfit you can't really tell + I'd rather have him in a body that doesn't match than on the horrid body he came in.

Max Steel and G.I. Joe are the same height, and while Joe feels sturdier than Max, I prefer the latter because of his nice body shape. Joe's torso is kinda short and while he looks good dressed, it's really off-putting seeing him like this.

Tender Creation Doll and Popovy Sisters Doll

From the left to the right: Licca (Hina chan) on Azone Pureneemo S body, Ruruko (on Azone Pureneemo XS body), Atomaru DoranDoran Green Ara doll (on her own body), Obitsu 11cm rooted head (on Azone Picconeemo D body, OOAK doll).

i got my new Adele gold glam today. Adele skintone is a bit lighter than Dominique.however i think it's ok to sawap her head not too much different :)

Different sizes of doll rings + a human-sized one. ;)

A quick comparison between the Simpsons' House set (left) and my own build. While the set is exactly 48 studs wide - the allotted space I have on my layout - I wanted the Simpsons to at least have some semblance of a yard. Also, the set was somewhat inaccurate in certain areas so I wanted to fix that, too.

The only thing that's really similar in the two builds, aside from color, is the front door and bay windows (although if they ever come out with 1x2 cheese slopes in brown, I'll be replacing the tops of the bay windows).

A really small comparison set this time. Basically I just wanted to include the DIM G.S.E body to show how big it really is. I also no longer have access to a MNF girl so I switched that to a boy (he's pretty much the same size anyway), and then added a WD boy for the hell of it too.

Line up from left to right:

- FL Mini Feé boy body (ws) + DoD Tender Too head (ns)

- Withdoll boy body (ns) (muscle definition sanded down)

- Withdoll girl body (grey)

- DIM G.S:E large bust body (ns) + IH JID Isar head (ws)

- Bimong Narae small bust (ns)

- Supia minisup girl body (ws) + WD Cathy head (ws)

comparison of the Mattel 13th Doctor barbie doll, my custom curvy Thirteen mostly-barbie-parts hybrid, and the Character Options 13th Doctor figure (10inch scale).

if you're wondering about the official barbie 13:

semi-MtM body, but elastic hips, no rotating hip joint, no ankle articulation, and no chest articulation. so basically similar body to some of the other almost-MtM collector dolls. i am so irritated about the elastic hips

---------------

ETA: in my considered opinion, almost everything about the Character Options 13 is better than the Barbie 13, and at around twice the price, the Barbie one is NOT a good deal.

There's a lot to smile about with the new Sony a73. It packs a lot of features in at a great price, and I'm enjoying putting it through the paces in my review. One thing that I'm finding is that the sophisticated focus system makes it the best Sony platform that I've ever used for employing adapted lenses like this Tamron SP 85mm f/1.8 lens. It's a great portrait lens mounted on the a73, and, like my subject, it gives a lot to smile about. | #photodujour #dustinabbott #photography #sony #a73 #withmytamron #85VC

I figure that a lot of people will be wondering how big Kikipop is next to different dolls, so I went ahead and did some comparison shots of all the different types of dolls I have!
