Different sizes of doll rings + a human-sized one. ;)

A quick comparison between the Simpsons' House set (left) and my own build. While the set is exactly 48 studs wide - the allotted space I have on my layout - I wanted the Simpsons to at least have some semblance of a yard. Also, the set was somewhat inaccurate in certain areas so I wanted to fix that, too.

The only thing that's really similar in the two builds, aside from color, is the front door and bay windows (although if they ever come out with 1x2 cheese slopes in brown, I'll be replacing the tops of the bay windows).

A really small comparison set this time. Basically I just wanted to include the DIM G.S.E body to show how big it really is. I also no longer have access to a MNF girl so I switched that to a boy (he's pretty much the same size anyway), and then added a WD boy for the hell of it too.

Line up from left to right:

- FL Mini Feé boy body (ws) + DoD Tender Too head (ns)

- Withdoll boy body (ns) (muscle definition sanded down)

- Withdoll girl body (grey)

- DIM G.S:E large bust body (ns) + IH JID Isar head (ws)

- Bimong Narae small bust (ns)

- Supia minisup girl body (ws) + WD Cathy head (ws)

I actually took this picture a few days ago but forgot to upload it ^^; Unfortunately, I'm not super fond of Haru so I doubt I'll ever get the purple Haru to toss in future photos but I am definitely already in love with the new Egyptian Sophie

This comparison should answer some of the questions I have received about the differences between the TBLeague/Phicen body and other Fashion Dolls!

The TBLeague stands between a Color Infusion and Victoire doll!

A comparison with the Peltast mechsuit on the right.

Named after a bird known for slowly wading through swamps looking for prey, the Heron is a very light mech that can stalk targets all the same.

This skirmisher variant is equipped for more direct combat, featuring a light Gauss Cannon on the left side and two light Rayguns on the right, in addition to the standard pair of chin-mounted light machine guns and rear SSAM-2s.

Inspired by various Metal Gears, Star Wars walkers, and the Halo Mantis, among others. Thanks to not having a human form, the Heron succeeds the Peltast as my smallest mech design and was the last mostly completed build of 2020.

My favorite things about this MOC are the use of the old, discontinued boat piece inverted and used to form the bulk of the turret head, and the panels used as 'butt-flaps' (lol) to armor up and add some form to the rear of the legs without sacrificing articulation.

I've been reading photographers' discussions on various external flash accessories. These are updated comparisons for 6th edition of my textbook, "Photojournalism: The Professionals' Approach."

For these tests, the subject remained at the same distance from the background, and the flash was located nine feet from the subject. Pictures in the left column were taken inside. Those in the right column were taken outside.

From top to bottom, the Indoor/Outdoor comparisons are for:

Direct Flash

Bouncing the flash off a ceiling

Fong diffuser

Lumiquest

Omnidome

Through a softbox

Off an umbrella

Through an umbrella

Outdoors or in a large ballroom or gymnasium, all the accessories work less well at softening shadows. Inside, light scatters off many surfaces. Outside, the scattered light rays coming from the accessories have few surfaces to bounce off.

Notice, in the outdoor series, that the shadow behind the model is darker in almost each situation.

All accessories are subject to the same laws of physics.

The seller dropped by my workplace and exchanged the damaged minifig. So happy to have a nice minifig now. It's sad that the item was damaged by DHL. Usually DHL is the best courier for Shopee (in my opinion) but this time it is quite disappointing.

Here’s some comparison photos of the new Curvy MTM body next to some other dolls. She’s shorter than the Collectors Curvy body and is closer to the Fashionista Curvy but her limbs are slightly thicker.

She has almost the same poseability as an Original MTM body but due to her thicker body type it ALMOST does the same things anyway. Her ankles are as floppy as original MTM so bleh.

Surprisingly her wrists are compatible with Original MTM, which means it’s compatible with older jointed Barbie dolls with vinyl arms AND DC Super Hero Girl hands.

Her ankles though are completely different so if you were hoping to give her smaller feet you’ll need to mod the doll a lot.

Her skin tone is ALMOST Tropic Tan/Nikki but it’s slightly too pink and light. Still darker than other Caucasian skin tones though.

Just a quick comparison shot between BrickWarriors accessories and official Lego accessories.

from left to right: Obitsu, extra small neemo, extra small neemo with Only Hearts Clothes, Small neemo, Licca, Skipper.

The small neemo is a half inch bigger in the hips compared to Licca so pattern adjustments would be need for pants. Also the arms are longer. I love how I can pose the neemo bodies and the joints aren't terribly ugly. Plus the hands can be changed. The feet can bemoved and then the legs will fit inside Barbie boots. The neemo body shown is an older model. The newer model allows great motion of the shoulder. I broke the foot on the extra small because I was being stupid, but one time a foot just broke. I fix them using pipe cleaners. Also I lost one of the shoulder or elbow joint pins. Sometimes the hands need a little bit of sanding to fit into the arms.

For Jem fans wondering how pink "This is Farewell" Jem's pink hair really is, here is a comparison picture with "Sophisticated Lady" Jem.

Farewell Jem's hair looks very slightly even more pink, but it seems they are very much the same color.

Here's a size comparison for my Tumbler and Batpod. A little big, but I think it works.

Had a photoshoot comparing Iplehouse JID Owen to my other Slim minis, mainly with Minifee. I failed with the dslr so only phone photo for now.

In order from L-R:

Iplehouse JID model boy

CP/Fairyland B-line girl

Fairyland A-line model boy

Harucastin E-minor body

Fairyland A-line (old) girl body, F-bust, cutie legs

Fairyline A-line (old) girl body, large bust, model legs

Bimong New Narae body

Fairyland M-line, cutie bust

I hope this is informative to doll hobbyists who are interested to pair JID boys with their other brand girls or boys. For me his face goes best with those Minifee which have smaller eyes or heads. And he looks really good with Narae, ok with E-minor.
