I shot this as a comparison between two Irix lenses. The Irix 21mm Dragonfly and the Irix 30mm Dragonfly. I thought about doing the 15mm as well but it was running a timelapse that I didn't want to stop....then the clouds rolled in so....I'll save that for another time. 😉
These images are shot with the same settings, same camera and edited with the exact same settings. I know I could edit them better but I was trying to give just a general idea of the focal length difference and overall look of the images produced by each lens and didn't want to get too involved with anything. Keep in mind neither of these lenses have a lens profile in Lightroom yet either...so they should only get better!

In this comparison image the photo at the top was taken by Hubble's Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 in 1995 and shows the spot at a diameter of just under 21 000km; the second down shows a 2009 WFC3 photo of the spot at a diameter of just under 18 000km; and the lowest shows the newest image from WFC3 taken in 2014 with the spot at its smallest yet, with diameter of just 16 000km.

Jupiter's trademark Great Red Spot -- a swirling anti-cyclonic storm larger than Earth -- has shrunk to its smallest size ever measured.
According to Amy Simon of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, recent NASA Hubble Space Telescope observations confirm the Great Red Spot now is approximately 10,250 miles across. Astronomers have followed this downsizing since the 1930s.
Historic observations as far back as the late 1800s gauged the storm to be as large as 25,500 miles on its long axis. NASA Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 flybys of Jupiter in 1979 measured it to be 14,500 miles across. In 1995, a Hubble photo showed the long axis of the spot at an estimated 13,020 miles across. And in a 2009 photo, it was measured at 11,130 miles across.
Beginning in 2012, amateur observations revealed a noticeable increase in the rate at which the spot is shrinking -- by 580 miles per year -- changing its shape from an oval to a circle.

I don't have any of the newer official Snowspeeder sets but the size never really changed with those anyway.. So here is a size comparison of my MOC and one of the official sets. I think the difference is quite significant.

A striking comparison. Both vehicles are seven wides and although the M1 Bullpup ACV is bulky looking by itself, it is only a couple of plates higher than the M1151 HMMWV. May I remind you credits for the overall design of the M1 Bullpup ACV go to Andrew Somers and credits for the overall design of the M1151 HMMWV go to Evan Melick. If you notice I made a little switcheroo with the vehicles wheels.
Widefield View: Messier 101 Disrupted by Companions
The Pinwheel Galaxy (also known as Messier 101, M101 or NGC 5457) is a face-on spiral galaxy 21 million light-years (6.4 megaparsecs) away from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781 and was communicated that year to Charles Messier, who verified its position for inclusion in the Messier Catalogue as one of its final entries.
M101 is a large galaxy, with a diameter of 170,000 light-years. By comparison, the Milky Way has a diameter of 100,000[11] light-years. It has around a trillion stars, twice the number in the Milky Way. It has a disk mass on the order of 100 billion solar masses, along with a small central bulge of about 3 billion solar masses. Its characteristics can be compared to those of Andromeda Galaxy.
M101 is asymmetrical due to the tidal forces from interactions with its companion galaxies. These gravitational interactions compress interstellar hydrogen gas, which then triggers strong star formation activity in M101's spiral arms that can be detected in ultraviolet images. (Wikipedia.org)

The magpie goose (Anseranas semipalmata) is the sole living representative species of the family Anseranatidae. This common waterbird is found in northern Australia and southern New Guinea. As the species is prone to wandering, especially when not breeding, it is sometimes recorded outside its core range. The species was once also widespread in southern Australia, but disappeared from there largely due to the drainage of the wetlands where the birds once bred. The Kunwinjku of western Arnhem Land know this bird as Manimanuk. It became an important food item with the formation of wetlands about 1500 ya, and is depicted in rock art from this period. Mimi figures are often shown holding goose-feather fans.
DESCRIPTION
Magpie geese are unmistakable birds with their black and white plumage and yellowish legs. The feet are only partially webbed, and the magpie goose feeds on vegetable matter in the water, as well as on land. Males are larger than females. Unlike true geese, their moult is gradual, so no flightless period results. Their voice is a loud honking.
SYSTEMATICS AND EVOLUTION
This species is placed in the order Anseriformes, having the characteristic bill structure, but is considered to be distinct from the other species in this taxon. The related and extant families, Anhimidae (screamers) and Anatidae (ducks, geese, and swans), contain all the other taxa. The magpie goose is contained in the genus Anseranas and family Anseranatidae, which are monotypic now.
A cladistic study of the morphology of waterfowl found that the magpie goose was an early and distinctive offshoot, diverging after screamers and before all other ducks, geese, and swans.
This family is quite old, a living fossil, having apparently diverged before the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event — the relative Vegavis iaai lived some 68-67 million years ago. The fossil record is limited, nonetheless. The enigmatic genus Anatalavis (Hornerstown Late Cretaceous or Early Paleocene of New Jersey, USA - London Clay Early Eocene of Walton-on-the-Naze, England) is sometimes considered to be the earliest known anseranatid. Other Paleogene birds sometimes considered magpie-geese are the genera Geranopsis from the Hordwell Formation Late Eocene to the Early Oligocene of England and Anserpica from the Late Oligocene of Billy-Créchy (France). The earliest known member of the group in Australia is an unnamed species represented by fossils found in the late Oligocene Carl Creek Limestone of Queensland. Additional fossils from North America and Europe suggest that the family was spread across the globe during the late Paleogene period. The Australian distribution of the living species ties in well with the presumed Gondwanan origin of Anseriformes, but Northern Hemisphere fossils are puzzling. Perhaps the magpie geese were one of the dominant groups of Paleogene waterfowl, only to become largely extinct later.
ECOLOGY AND STATUS
The magpie goose is found in a variety of open wetland areas such as floodplains and swamps. It is fairly sedentary apart from some movement during the dry season. They are colonial breeders and are gregarious outside of the breeding season when they can form large and noisy flocks of up to a few thousand individuals. Its nest is on the ground, and a typical clutch is 5-14 eggs. Some males mate with two females, all of which raise the young, unlike some other polygamous birds. This may be beneficial when predation of young is high as chicks raised by trios are more likely to survive.
This species is plentiful across its range, although this is significantly reduced in comparison to the range at time of European settlement. The range once extended as far south as the Coorong and the wetlands of the southeast of South Australia and Western Victoria. For Australia as a whole, it is not threatened and has a controlled hunting season when numbers are large. However, most of the southern populations were extirpated in the mid-20th century by overhunting and habitat destruction. The species has been subject to reintroduction projects such as Bool Lagoon between Penola and Naracoorte. Populations in more northern areas have again reached a level where it can be regularly utilized by hunters, although not in the example provided. In Victoria, the magpie goose was listed as near threatened on the 2007 advisory list of threatened vertebrate fauna in Victoria. In the December 2007 Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act list of threatened fauna, it is also listed. As of early 2008, an Action Statement for the recovery and future management of this species had not been prepared.
With the advent of climate change, and more frequent seawater inundations of the current extensive freshwater floodplains, CSIRO scientists argue that Magpie geese populations may be at risk.

Target has new mini plastic Tsum Tsums that come in packs of three size comparison compared to a normal Tsum tsum
at dawn (around 5.30-6.00am) the low tide made it possible for us to get to this spot. however by 7.00-7.30am the rising tides were huge u dont want to mess with it. the risk is doubled with additional risks of slippery rocks and sharp corals on the foreground. so have to work fast and get out of there while u can!

What's so funny is when I lay M-line body and SD16 body down next to each other, the SD16 body looks slightly taller (about 1/2cm) than M-line body.
But they are at exact same height when standing.
Can't figure out why but it's no big deal.
Comparisons on many fronts. First, the similarities - both are Mirror Image kits, both are Volvo products and share the same livery. There the similarities end as the PS has been entirely brush painted using a mixture of Cherry and Humbrol colours, whereas the Limpalong has used coach enamel. Keen eyes will note that the stripes on the Olympian are now separated by white - not my work, I hasten to add!
PS - The PS is not mine... it was put alongside for comparison of the colours.

Sometimes I think NY skin is looks like tan skin. it is thick, dark and opaque yellow.
NP skin is just pink. There is no yellow tone, just pink.
I finally got around to finishing a comparison of the LDD projections (not true orthographic, but close enough) against my original schematics. I managed to capture the overall proportions well, although there are some areas (wing guns, cockpit height, a few greebles) that could be altered.

This is a comparison picture study I never quite finished from 2018 or 2019, because all the set up of girls was splitted in two sets. The white to peach hair girls and then the more lavender ones. The lavander picture was finished and taken but the other one with the more clear girls was never taken. The pic was crappy because it was taken with the cellphone but I fixed it a little bit.

I was asked for an unedited picture of Zyanya Remembers and Winterish Allure side by side. Here it is. They are more similar than I realized...Zyanya’s hair and skin are just a bit darker than Winterish’s, but her makeup looks more orange. She also has earrings and nail polish. Both are beautiful.
