I did my best to make this build a 1:1 replica of a 1/144 Gundam model. I had to go a little bigger for detail's sake, but it's still only 6.5" (16.5cm) tall.

A comparison between the 2 versions of Tre I currently have.

It's time to talk about my R1, well he is now lying on the floor treated like a football as I kick it quite regularly while I'm in love with my new D700.

No, that's not true. I still love it, very good lens quality and nice range of focal length ( 24-120 ), and the best thing I can't resisit is I can shoot long exposure quick and faster then D700: just attach to my tripod, get my remote ready and shoot, because it's a Digital Compact ( well, big compact ), surely live vew function is far more better then DSLR.

Like this shot in Lake Wakatipu, I can finish my shooting in 30 sec before the sunlight getting stronger and then continue on my journey to Glenorchy.

D700 is a good camera ( and expensive) , 24-70 is a good len ( yeah expensive too ), but both of them are heavy like dumbbells, and my ND64 is too dark to view the composition too ( my fault, should get ND8 instead ), and I just can't stand those dusts in my CCD!

So, at this raining day, the only thing I can do at home is writing these complains, oh, sorry, should be comparison...

The experimental PX 70 Push (scanned 4 hours after exposure) on the right was the only frame that *didn't* come out the *top* of the camera instead of the bottom from the first 4 shots. The expired Time Zero on the left behaved as expected.

A comparison lineup of the 3 versions we have so far of John J. Rambo.

And yes the heads are interchangeable.

I took some techniques from roguebantha and Brickdoctor. I went with a clone wars style with the side weapons. I wanted to have my own cannon design, and binoculars worked pretty well. The back was difficult but I was finally able to attach the 1x1 round brick to a minifig hand by jamming some rubberbands inside the cavity.

Front lineup

Narae is the tallest and DOC the shortest. MNF has the shortest torso, while Narae has the longest and is thus the most proportioned out of the bunch.

Also, Withdoll has the longers arms and biggest hands. Note: These are the older bigger hands. The new girls don't come with these anymore. (The new hands are similar in size to mnf hands.)

This is a comparison of hardware buttons on many popular Android devices. I know this isn't all of them but I think it's filled out enough.

I find it interesting that series of devices (e.g. Droid Series) don't match. Also, there is no consistency in regards to icon design on each device.

UPDATE: The Bergol says I have used the incorrect Droid 2 in this list. Instead of matching the Droid, it matches the Droid Pro. I apologize for my mistake.

UPDATE 2: Thanks for all the views. This was originally pointed out by Ben but John Gruber from Daring Fireball was my source. Engadget has created a better version here. I meant no disrespect to the Android community but feel that muscle memory can cause a frustrating experience when changing devices.

March is a little conflicted. We've had 40 C temperature swings, from extreme cold to freezing rain to snow to sunny and mild days. I walked carefully out onto icy ground to take this photo in the midst of a foggy patch as weather systems moved through. I've got a number of new Tamron products in for review this month, including the beautiful new 70-200mm f/2.8 VC G2 lens. I used it for this shot, wide open. Help guide my review process by taking a look at the "Tamron Haul" video and adding your voice: bit.ly/TamronHaul | You can also see more photos from the 70-200 G2 here: bit.ly/70200G2IG

My Lego model of Peppercorn A1 class 60163 'Tornado', in ex-works grey livery.

This is a complete rebuild of my previous Tornado model, which I finished in 2009. The new model can be powered by either 9V through the track, or battery power using Power Functions components in the tender.

Improvements since the last version include:

- larger driving wheels

- larger boiler and firebox

- redesigned cab

- valve gear representation

- shortened tender wheelbase

- additional bogie detail

- reprofiled smoke deflectors

Custom 3rd-party components:

- XL wheels from Big Ben Bricks

- connecting rods from Trained Bricks

- custom printed cab numbers and tender text from Minifig.me

The real 'Tornado' was built by the A1 Trust and completed in 2008, making it the first mainline steam loco built in Britain since the turn of the millennium.

Hello Everyone! Thought I would share this picture illustrating the similarities and differences of these dolls.

As you can see, Bend Leg/TNT Francie is just slightly taller than Tuli Chan, Takara Barbie and Baggie Francie.

Both Takara Barbie and Tuli Chan bend and pose with wires placed in their limbs.

Tuli chan has hips that are just slightly wider and therefore her pants are a bit loose when placed on Francie.

There are also differences in their breasts. Takara Barbie's breasts are more pointed than Francie's and Tuli Chan's are just slightly smaller than Francie's but the same shape.

After being missing for months, some Made to Move Barbies finally showed up in my local stores again, so I grabbed one. This is the wave 2 Blue Top doll, so this one has a very noticeable red tint to her skin, which quite limits the body matching and body swapping options with other Barbies, but I did manage to find a doll in my collection that matched the complexion!

Here I did a side by side comparison of the Wave 1 and Wave 2 dolls, with Wave 1 on the left and Wave 2 on the right. The red tint is very much visible in these pictures, and so are the more cartoonish features of the Wave 2 Blue Top compared to the soft and beautiful features of the first doll.

However, the newer doll had great, totally glue free hair which was soft to the touch, in contrast to the gluey hair of the Wave 1.

I head swapped my Wave 2 doll with another doll, and I'll be posting pictures of the results soon! :)

Here's a side by side comparison: an official Bumba illustration on the right and my LEGO Bumba MOC on the left.

Bumba the clown

This MOC had some fun challenges. For instance, the inside construction of Bumba's head and placing his heart perfectly tight on his rounded tummy. His head, arms and feet can be posed. Bumba comes with his Sticky Magico.

Tumbi the elephant

The hardest part was making the rug on Tumbi's back stick out 1 plate thick on all sides. Also, It took me a while to figure out how to make the round shape for the circus pedestal. It has studs on top to attach Tumbi.

Gwido the penguin

Nothing to fancy here, just a fun build of a penguin on a giant skateboard!

Magic rabbit

A rabbit peeping out of a high hat. The classic magic trick everybody loves 😄

NS resin comparison. The Dollzone, Doll-Leaves, and Resinsoul are all made within the past year, while the others are slightly older with the Luts being the oldest (3 years)

I'm sure the guy in the middle looks kind of familiar, Mewi v2. Thing is, I never really showed off what Mewi v1 looked like beyond a brief description over on my DA. Well, here he is, the little gremlin on the left, at least as best as I remember him. I probably built him around... 15? so things have come a ways since them. Also had to show off some of the improvements (I hope) made in this new version.

On Left is the new version, and right, the old.

New-

Hat- Like the old, a perfect top hat. 10/10

Head- My personal dislike. It resembles a senile baby, and generally doesn't look evil enough. 4/10

Torso/Legs- Though strange, I like that it resembles the '60s show's Penguin. A shade darker on the lilac would have made me appreciate it more, however. 9/10.

Old-

Hat- Same as new, 10/10

Head- Very nice, with a wide toothy grin as oppose to the other's smirk. The eye not being visible through the monocle also adds something to it, for unknown reasons. 10/10

Torso/Legs- The orange and purple color scheme works excellently, since the two contrast so well. Having grown up watching various cartoons, many of which inspired this figure's look, it just seems perfect. 10/10.

So, there. Tell me what you think!
