With my mum and my Aunt Jean in Arkleston Road, Paisley about 1961. Behind us the road is curving left to cross the railway on a high arch and the buildings behind front onto Gallowhil Road at Arkleston Crescent. This view is taken higher up the hill in Arkleston Road than the 1951 view, but comparison of the two views shows that the pavement has been constructed since the earlier shot was taken.

Left is the basic version & right is the original first release.

Differences:

Hair: length & color

Face: more blush on basic, lips completely different

Clothes: same material but basic has a simple dress while original has a multi layered dress. Belt is on opposite direction & does not have the gold paint.

Brunette comparison for Dean. I am so sorry this took me so long! Okay...so clockwise from top right. First is the LHAG Silver Brunette, Next to her is my long-haired Francie, third is my Dark Brunette TNT, 4th Brownette Bubble, Redhead AG, Short Hair Brunette AG, and lastly a Brunette HF... it is crazy how many different shades of Brunette there were, I am sure age and oxidation play a big part in that. I am not even sure that my LH Francie is the shade you were looking for, as she seems to have a greenish/ashy hair color... the closest to the LHAG seems to be the TNT... I hope this helps you Dean.

Another shot from a Gloucestershire trip out on 22nd July 2006, and the fine lines of a Gloucester girl emphasise the boxy appearance of a Stagecoach Dash bodied Dart

All were shot under the same conditions using a Canon 1D MK II body. The Sigma zoom at 210mm is the softest but not much different from the two best - the same zoom at 70mm and the 400mm telephoto. All were shot wide-open. Yes, the 50mm has the best contrast. All the lenses' photos are similar even at high magnification, though. The Mk II (8 meg sensor) has a strong anti-aliasing filter which results in softer images. Additionally, the camera's sharpness setting for these pics was "0" - non or minimal. The images were only edited as necessary to present them in this easy-to-compare view.

This is a comparison between an approx 23 year old Tokina 17mm and a new 11-16 at 16mm.

I shot at ISO 200 on "A", no exposure compensation...etc. I wanted to see the differences in flare, vignetting with the sun in the frame.

My macbook, ds and shiny new EEE.

I like sticking stickers on things...my ds almost got an Iron Maiden sticker on it the other day simply for the reason that it and the Iron Maiden stickers were both nearby at the same time. I am but a tiny child really.

An original on the left and a 100% crop on the right. 39Mp, 112Mb. Not bad.

Part 4

Here are some of my dollies compared to their standard version (mostly), sadly some of them are not still finished so I guess the comparison is not fully correct but wanted to see the difference ^^

LLCA 03001 mold in orange

here it is next to some other colors to give a much better understanding of the color

for sure its not red haha

top row is medium nougat and nougat

bottom row is orange, LLCA orange, medium orange, bright light orange

so yeah its not actually orange 4

it feels too muted to be a darker shade of orange, possibly a dirty medium orange? it almost feels like it would match colors like curry or something, but not too sure. it looks different a bit in real life than it does in the photo, but tis the best ive gotten

these are all the shades that match the closest, dont have any other colors such as earth orange and such though

going to try to get some parts in those colors to see if it even does match, might take a while though

im not sure if i should count this one as part of my 3001 collection though, technically doesnt fit into what im hunting for i think. i wonder if this does count as a modern mold, but its just the pip placement that is throwing me off lol

With Flash.

Comparison of a leaf inspired by Phu Tran (left) to a Kawasaki rose leaf (right). (I don't know how Phu folds his leaves, this is what I came up with inspired by pictures of his design.) Each was folded from the same size square.

and yes, I've now got a name. More to do with impending coomon license laws than the need to self promote but it doesn't hurt!

Doro is like ''Popey - the sailor man! '' now XDDD

Shot from a nearby overpass, you can see the demolition progress as of last week. The building on the right also has the back 50% gone.

And here are some comparisons to Live Action Christie since I find her to be interesting as the only Midge sculpt in dark vinyl.

Also I keep reading how everyone thinks ALL vintage Christie dolls used a recoloured Midge head, when Midge has a much bigger mouth in comparison to Julia/Christie as well as a different jawline. Comparing them side by side I can see how they modified the Midge sculpt to turn into Christie (the nose and eye sculpts give it away) but I think it’s different enough to not call it a direct Midge recolour.
