I bought a set of Kenko extension tubes recently and thought it will be fun to see the difference between the using the tubes, with my 50mm, and using my 100mm macro lens.
All four photos were taken at the minimum focus distance. To make for easier comparison, I cropped the photos into a square using the width of the photos to form the length.
The main difference between using the extension tubes and a proper macro lens is that while a macro lens can focus from the minimum focus distance to infinity, an ordinary lens with and extension tube cannot.
Personal opinion, while extension tubes can bring you up close, they do not replace proper macro lens :-)

I have been working and working on getting ready to go out of town today... so after the other night I'm feeling a bit of nostalgia. Here are some oldies, but goodies.
Cadence was 20 days old, Peyton 1 month 20 days. This was even before her due date. (I cropped my fat ugly mug out.) There is just a SLIGHT difference in size here.

The one I'm working on is bigger, maybe slightly too big actually but I can't bother to have it scanned and 3D printed to be slightly smaller >.<

Frankly, I think Furno looks more proportionate than Tahu does for some reason.
Oh, and they're the same color red.
Notice the shell ejector guide(whatever the hell ya call it) is quite different on the L300. The dust cover will not open when the charging handle is pulled either.. I thought this was a case just for mine, but apparantly the L300 doesn't due to the different upper receiver. It's no bigdeal; You can open it with your fingers.

Note the differences here. His snout is broader and heavier, his cheekbones wider, and his brow broader. She has a smaller sagittal crest and much smaller occipital crests.
Pardon the poorer visual quality, this was a rush-job at another computer. Still, with 100.25 to 101.00 for usd/cad ratio, making cad the stronger just to be clear so cdn prices should be lower in the same way for the same thing, why is the TSX (tse 300) so much lower than spx (s&p500) ? That 17% spread is NOT currency exchange. What's going on?
Both costumes are created by me - one is a ghawazee coat and blouse worn with a tassel belt. The other is a linen hirka, gomlek and salwar with silk belt.
My Aquaponic Garden Photos side-by-side 2 weeks and 6 days after planting, 4.5 weeks, and 5 weeks and 2 days.
Aquaponic Plants in pebble grow bed. Spinach, Spearmint, Rosemary, English Thyme, Oregano, Beefsteak Tomatoes, and Jalapenos.
Comparison of the (single coated) Nippon Kogaku Japan Nikkor-N 24mm f/2.8 with the (multicoated) Nikon Nikkor-N.C 24mm f/2.8. Both have the same optical formula, only the coating is different. HN-3 hood, no filter, Nikon D90 body.

A size comparison done by lining up the S10 "inside" the Tacoma. Not as much difference as I expected since the S10 feels so short when you're in it and the Tacoma feels so long.
With the S10 now up for sale I made sure to capture both trucks lined up in the driveway on a fine August evening. It made for an interesting comparison. The Tacoma had seemed so big on its own but that may be mostly a factor of stance, tire size and four wheel drive. As much as I like the new truck I'll always have a soft spot for my old S10. If money were no object I'd keep the old Chevy but alas a match has been made and she'll have a new home in days. At least her new owner is thrilled to have her as opposed to the ignoble fate my F250 met with in clunker row.

A comparison between Resinsoul Fleshtone and Dollzone NS-P. The match is pretty close, even if the DZ is slightly warmer.
