This was a pony cake for Charlotte, my son's girlfriend. She was 21 last week and had a party last night. It was a lovely evening for a lovely girl...!!
I really was inspired by Dot and Grace with this one - thanks girls....!! :-))))x
I should have said that it had about 100 blossoms on it and each blossom had 8 petals and I used a cocktail stick to slightly lighten each petal...lol I'll let you add it up - but it was a fun cake to do and not pressured because it was for friends and family....x
Di (Cakes To Di For) - my twiddles/curls aren't anywhere near as good as yours - lolx
Vanilla sponge with matching lemon cupcakes.
I had to do a bit of research on this one, as my kids no longer watch cbeebies :-)

This top cake and 36 cupcakes have been taken to Gretna Green (224 miles away) for a small wedding with the bride and grooms close friends and family. I do hope it all made it there safely...

"You! Cake or death?"
“Uh, cake for me, too, please."
"Very well! Give him cake, too! We're gonna run out of cake at this rate..."
This... this the cake that Katie and I made a few weeks back. Many more pics to come... I'm trying to decide how many will stand as singular images, and which ones to make diptychs or triptychs from.

In Moscow, on the street Arbat works cooking from the restaurant Prague, which bakes cakes on the USSR Recipes. Very tasty, like the taste of childhood
Purple coconut sponge cake with coconut custard filling & swiss buttercream icing decorated with meringue mushrooms!
The Totoro were toys that we had. I sat them on top of polymer clay mushrooms that I made so that they could hold hands. I also added the bow tie & veil.

Urodzinowy tort mojej córci z kremem czekoladowym i orzechowym oraz wisienkami w środku. Przepyszny był! :)
My second time making this cake. I love how it is so simple and classic - the red roses really make the cake. The top layer on this one is red velvet, the bottom layer is chocolate and the whole thing is finished with vanilla bean buttercream. My congratulations to the young couple who embark on a new chapter in their lives today.

This is the cake we'll be making in my 2-day class in Winnie, TX on April 20 & 21, 2009. There are a few seats available if you want in!
This is a cake that I made for Halloween with a zombie hand clawing its way out of the grave. Despite its unappetitizing appearance, the cake is actually very delicious with a flourless Grand Marnier chocolate cake and dark chocolate glaze. The fingers are made with marzipan. See blog entry for recipe.
"Baby Booties" cake, with handmade sugar booties.
First time out with the garrett frill cutter as well - I quite like the result! This was on the deepest setting, two layers.
This was a mini cake (4'') that I made just for fun, but I think that it'd look nice as a topper for a cupcake tower at a christening or baby shower, or even a first birthday.
Coffee and walnut cake with coffee-walnut buttercream.
This cake was designed for a very special woman - Kathy! Once my client, she became a very dear friend of mine!
Her dear husband asked for a surprise cake, both for him and Kathy. The things I knew were that she loved weddings and princesses, and that her Birthday party was about pink, silver, red, love and sparkle. That was enough for me!

Milk Chocolate Cake with Milk Belgian Chocolate Mocha Truffle Filling. (40 servings)
Cricut cutouts, poured isomalt, gum paste shoe, silk drapes, ribbon roses - it has them all!!!
You know how there are just some cakes where everything just goes right? Well this wasn't one of those cakes. I had wanted to make a pirate ship for some time. I spent three days making and remaking different parts. I actually had the whole cake part done and decided to do it again because it wasnt quite right. In the end I was pretty happy with it even though it wasnt perfect. I made the cake for my son's "cake bake auction," a fundraiser for the cub scouts. They left mine until last to auction. By that point half the people had left and everyone's pockets had dried up. So my cake took a whopping....$25!
I can hardly bear the sight of lipstick on the cigarettes there in the ashtray
Lyin' cold the way you left 'em, but at least your lips caressed them while you packed
Or the lip-print on a half-filled cup of coffee that you poured and didn't drink
But at least you thought you wanted it, that's so much more than I can say for me
What a good year for the roses
Many blooms still linger there
