A pair of GEVOs take A770 with roughly 12000 feet of empty rock hoppers north at Bolen. The train is destined for Brownsand, GA and typically drops hoppers on the way there at certain locations along the Fitzgerald Subdivision.

After pounding across the Porter Branch diamond, an east-bound CSX oil train, K138, races through Willow Creek at track speed behind a C40-8, a BNSF ES44C4, and an SD70MAC. Not even a year later, all of the C40-8s would be retired from CSX's active roster.

CSX 2707 in Seaboard System colors leads K301 at Union, PA a few miles West of New Castle Yard on April 26, 1994. The old P&LE main is the track on the right which was being operated as CSX subsidiary Three Rivers Railway at the time.
Stopping off on the way to the Bourbon Trail for a lengthy lunch at a sidewalk cafe in Lagrange, KY gave CSX enough time to run a couple of southbounds. It was a nice spring day and pretty easy to wait for a horn and pop up from the table to get in position.
