Every holiday season, our local botanical garden puts on a beautiful display of Christmas trees each decorated in the tradition of a different country. My kids and I always go visit at least once, both to see the trees and, especially for my middle son, to see model trains that also wind their way through two of the rooms. I believe this ornament was on the Swedish tree.

Leeds is a wealthy city, and there are, in the centre, many arcades that you can walk through to get from one main street to the next.
They each show off their decorations each year in different styles!
They are stunning all year but extra for the festive season!

Christmas maternity (28 weeks) portrait for our photo Christmas cards.
Strobist info: SB-600 in back of defuser behind subject at 1/20. SB-800 in softbox at camera left set at 1/30. Both controlled by CLS. Touchups in LR2 & CS4.
Fritz sat well for awhile, the outdoor light I was counting on had burnt out. I have a little glow from the window above him.
I upped my ISO a lot (6400), I wish I had more light on his face and more Christmas lights on his backside.

I think my photography is getting too predictable. I've been looking at other peoples' flickr accounts lately and am quite envious of the creativity some individuals possess. I've really been shooting far too much bokeh lately haha and I'm hoping for snow this week as I have some really awesome ideas for winter photography :)
