The finished Mini quilt for Dan's Grandmother, she used to breed mini longhaired dachshunds professionally so it was perfect for her. She loved it which makes me super happy. It measures 18x18 and was machine paper pieced.

Christmas carp is specially raised in manmade ponds and then sold from large tubs placed on the streets and town squares a few days before Christmas. You will not see this sight at any other time of the year. Some families keep their carp in the bathtub for several days as a temporary pet for their children...

In this version I used an aperture of f2 which changed the bokeh somewhat . I prefer the greater depth of field, but prefer the bokeh on the f1.4 version
Two SB28s with full CTO gels at 24mm pointed at the walls 1/16 power, This is to produce dark field lighting using the christmas tree as the dark field and the walls as the white reflecting areas.
The idea was to fill the glass with the tree but have the outline picked out in white light.
The a slow shutter speed was used to bring up the ambient light.

As you can see, this is indeed, The Christmas Chicken" used by Santa for some of his shorter, and hotter stops. The reindeer don't love hot weather, although they do on occasion make the effort. When they cannot, the Christmas Chicken happily fills in. Santa uses his own compass. (he thinks that star will get him there.....who am I to disabuse him of the notion?"

My agency had a Christmas on Sunday and I was at a loss for what to wear till I remember the perfect "carrie" dress hanging in my closet. I quickly through together this awsome outfit and was one of few not wearing black at the party. Bonus my boyfriend was looking equally hot in his outfit!

The book template I created. Wish I had more time to play with it, but work is calling.
My Christmas outfit is all in red: red fascinator hat, red satin top, red miniskirt, red stockings and red pumps. All presented with a red happy lipstick smile.
Again, I changed a setting and like both pics! I thought when I took this one it would make a nice Christmas card, put some text in the blank space and you're set!

In moving the camera while taking a slow-shutter picture of Christmas lights, I made a bunch of colorful treble clefts (for those unfamiliar, a lovely sheet music primer can be found here).
I wish I could say it was on purpose--it must have been Christmas magic.
BTW, I think this photo is best viewed large.
I had an awesome christmas even though I was working. Thank you so much for my family and friends for their gifts and presents. These are just pics of my dolly gifts. Didn't get to take pics of the other gifts yet, but will eventually do it in the coming year. Maraming Salamat !!! Daghang Salamat !!!
I'm most grateful for my dolly gifts, but I notice something different. Yup, not a barbie doll in sight. I normally get a mix of barbie and fr dolls. But this year, it's all FR and it seems FR rules the day. It is historic in my doll collecting years and will probably not happened again. I got no complaints whatsoever. Any barbie or FR is welcome in my dolly world !!!;-D!!!
