While Christmas may be over, the tree and lights are still up around my house so I figured I'd upload one of the photos I took on Christmas Eve. I sure do love the f/2.8 lenses. :-)

#AB_FAV_FESTIVE_🎄
This is a small (12/18cm) oil painting I made with my pallet knives.
Made it for Christmas because that year the 'theme' was music and instruments.
We get asked to photograph Artworks, to light them properly and evenly so that the colours are true, it is not evident.
Just a bit of fun, hope you like it.
And the little elves?
Have a happy day and thank you for viewing, M, (*_*)

Who said the spirit of Christmas has been taken over by consumerism?? nice to see the lovely people at Stella Artois have gone back to their roots for this festive can fizz! Im sure we all remember the nativity scene where the 4th king turned up a bit late (covered in vomit & kebab) with the perfect complement to frankincense and muir… …a 24 pack of this gear!
Merry Christmas. (please drink responsibly etc etc…..)
Bakersfield is honored to be the site of a new National Cemetery. The Breakfast Rotary Club of Bakersfield placed Christmas wreaths on all of the graves Saturday, December 12th, in conjunction with Wreath's Across America annual event.. If you would like more info or to find out how you can participate next year, please visit. www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
The wreath's were originally placed standing up, but due to high winds the wreaths had to be laid down.
I still found it a very emotion and moving sight.

Each child receives a special surprise gift during the ride, which is included in the ticket price.

We went out for a Christmas Day walk yesterday and as we were driving through the Forest, we spotted this chap running around looking bewildered. We couldn't spot an owner so we pulled over and called him. He came running straight to me and let me hold his collar. We waited around to see if anyone would appear but nothing happened. We didn't want him running off so we put him in the back of the car (luckily Phill had the back seats down as he had been taking rubbish to the tip before Christmas) Naturally, the dog jumped over right onto the front seats with his wonderfully muddied paws:-) We waited a little longer but still no one appeared. Fortunately, he had a tag with an address and telephone number. We rang the number but it went straight to answer, so we left a number saying we had their dog and we would try to return it. The address was just the name of a cottage and the name of the lane. We figured it had to be local and set off with the dog in the back of the car. Even with a satnav it took about half an hour before we found the place. And, of course, no-one was home! We were hanging around deciding what to do when a neighbour came to our aid. Later on the owner rang and left us a message to say thanks for returning her 'crazy' dog. Apparently he had run off whilst they were out walking.
Happy Furry Friday everyone
Christmas 2019 filled stockings and decorations. That is actually a plant tree which is another item that my very good high school friend gave us. As much as it can be very useful for plants, I liked the idea of making little crocheted mats and putting the decorations on it. I've also used it to put halloween decorations on it in October as well. You may notice there are also some more salvaged matted and framed photos on the left, which are on the dining room wall.
