For Christmas this year, we managed to buy a pine tree in Beihai. We planted it near our front gate and decorated it for the yuletide season. We also added some lights to the guard tower! Every year, this house is decorated with a striking combination of Christmas lights. The blue evergreens stand out from a couple of blocks away.

This was the official start to the Christmas season in our home. For me it also meant I'd be celebrating another birthday in just 11 days.
Every year for the past 5 years, around 4pm, I've hung a wreath on my front door and begin to address my Christmas cards. This year Dodger and I will be celebrating this special time of year with our new friend Daisy.
