Here is my upload for today, another lovely set of Christmas lights from our 2013 visit a few days ago to the amazing Airdrie Festival of Lights; here you can see four skiers and a lovely evergreen tree, swooshing their way down the slope.

I certainly like Blue Hour as you can tell from my photostream, so it makes sense that my backyard is lit by these ;)

Leeds is a wealthy city, and there are, in the centre, many arcades that you can walk through to get from one main street to the next.
They each show off their decorations each year in different styles!
They are stunning all year but extra for the festive season!

I took an "Epic Christmas Light Tour" this past Friday with Katie to see decorations in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Thanks to a tip from Larry, one of the stops was the Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine.
I wasn't expecting the area to be so dark, and it made it really difficult to even photograph. Still though, it was a great view and I wanted to have something to show for the hours of driving around! :)

Merry Christmas from my Christmas angels! Max hates the reindeer anthlers as much as he loves my granddaughter Madison. For her attention, he was willing to wear the anthlers just long enough for this picture. My mischievous angel below, Kassie, was willing to wear the Santa hat in hopes of a Christmas treat--she'll do anything for food!

This is my first upload with the newly acquired Canon RF 85mm f/2 lens! So far I am really liking this lens, it's great to be able to focus so close with an 85mm lens which isn't usually possible.
Although it's an f/2, it has quite nice rendering and I'm sure the more I use it, the more I'll fall in love with it.

This image was taken from Union Station in KC. A four piece band was playing festive Christmas tunes while shoppers enjoyed their efforts. The highlight of this moment came when a child dressed in white decided to get out on the floor and dance to everyone's enjoyment. True Christmas spirit on display. The little girl was moved to dance and the on lookers were moved to happiness.
I hope everyone out there has a safe, festive, and family oriented Christmas. I hope we can all take a moment out of our days to remember and thank Jesus Christ for saving us all.

On a side note, I feel like I nailed the lighting for this shot! Maybe it was the white paper giving me a white balance, but dang! Dis' gurl looks fine!
Our Christmas Tree. There are decorations that go on the tree year after year & some new ones each year.
I never fully appreciate the tree until I spend some time up close and take in the little hidden places between the branches.

Christmas is truly a great holiday, Birthday of Juses Christ, the only Savior and the only way to God. I know this is not fashinable to say these things nowadays in the era of atheism or materialism or whatever else people believe in with all their hearts and say it's not a belief. Anyway I remain eligible for expressing my beliefs and not even trying to offend anybody. Culinarium masterpieces have always been an essential part of any important celebration, and so they are part of a wonderful atmosphere of Christmas Eve.

Another shot from the amazing Christmas lights display at Spruce Meadows last Friday night, here is a beautiful gazebo done up in purple and green with lovely evergreens turned into Christmas trees as a backdrop.

background.
