Finally! Christmas time is here and I get to make cookies! This batch was made for a gift exchange we had our work Chirstmas party. We're playign dirty Santa so lets see how many times these get taken ;)

Christmas time is coming. There are already some christmas markets open. And you can already see christmas decoration in the city. This is one of those giant pear-like lamps which are hanging in Vienna's Graben. You can see in action in the picture below.

I should be doing a lot more macro work now that Christmas season is upon us. There are so many colorful and highly detailed decorations all around to capture. This is an arrangement that I put together featuring a Waterford glass ornament set in a clear glass bowl filled with other old glass ornaments. I lit these from both above and below to bring out the sparkle of the main subject and to have the background bright as well.

We live in a small town that hosts a Victorian Christmas parade every Holiday season! It's so Americana and we absolutely love it, but my youngest had no desire to watch and instead enjoyed spying on the patrons who were eating in a nearby restaurant!

This years Christmas card for our church. The headline is up for changing, The concept is a retro christmas look to signify looking back to Jesus, or revisiting Jesus again. It's really hard to find pics of Jesus that aren't super cheesy so I wanted to stear clear of that idea and just show a nice Christmasy scene. The silver lines at the bottom will be a shiny spot silver when printed.
Any input or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone had a Merry little christmas, I certanly had!! So I got all of this stuff, plus about 200 bucks :D although I got the SW and Creators set a tiny bit before Christmas. :P I'm very happy with this loot, nearly finished building the police station (takeing me longer than expected) and the Galaxy Squad set is awesome !!!
so hope everyone had an awesome christmas and I'll also be making a christmas build (I'm very nearly finished with it), so it might be up tomorrow.
While the general population are no longer sending Christmas cards in the same quantities as before, children are still writing letters to Santa.
Our local post office has helpfully provided a Santa approved post box for them to use.

This is part of an elaborate display from a past Victorian Vine Street Showcase event in Paso Robles. It occurs on a Saturday night before Christmas. Vine Street is closed to vehicles for several blocks. All the houses on those blocks are decorated and lighted.
Snacks and hot beverages are given away at some houses. Some houses have musicians or dancers. Sometimes there is an ice sculptor working. Sometimes there is a snow slide. The two biggest attractions are Scrooge's house and the Grinch's house.
This is a family event. People stroll the street taking in the sights and sounds, stoppng to listen to music or grab coffee or hot cider. Some haul children in wagons. I will be adding new photos from this event in my Christmas album.
