The Market House celebrates one last Christmas before succumbing to the pressures of retail dollars and Starbucks. Not being a coffee drinker, I really don't care that people will stand in line for 30 minutes or more to pay too much money for a cup of liquid that tastes like burnt battery acid to me. All those dupes waiting for coffee will be out of my way though, so I guess it's a good thing.

Emi and I started to get the preparations for Christmas. This will be the first Christmas of my girls and everything must be perfect, simply because I love Christmas and I hope they will too.

Christmas carp is specially raised in manmade ponds and then sold from large tubs placed on the streets and town squares a few days before Christmas. You will not see this sight at any other time of the year. Some families keep their carp in the bathtub for several days as a temporary pet for their children...
Hope everyone had a Merry little christmas, I certanly had!! So I got all of this stuff, plus about 200 bucks :D although I got the SW and Creators set a tiny bit before Christmas. :P I'm very happy with this loot, nearly finished building the police station (takeing me longer than expected) and the Galaxy Squad set is awesome !!!
so hope everyone had an awesome christmas and I'll also be making a christmas build (I'm very nearly finished with it), so it might be up tomorrow.

Taken this week during our Christmas tree trimming evening with my new camera. SOOC, hand held, at ISO 5000. Probably will make it my shot of the week.
The photo in the comment was shot at ISO 6400. And more test shots of my family in the photo stream.
As we gathered around the table for our Christmas Feast, we all had to stop and grab our cameras!
Ham, green bean casserole, sweet potato soufflé, corn casserole, cranberry sauce and rolls.
We all ate until we almost popped. Bus somehow still managed to find room for dessert!
Yesterday was a day of hanging tinsel and lights, baking Christmas cakes and brownies - absolutely delicious and spending time with my brother, his son and daughter and my great niece. What a lovely day and there is still more to come...

Louis loves to bake so I surveyed from a distance as he made these ginger cookies yesterday. Lots of sugar on the kitchen floor and sticky counters were definitely worth the delicious result!
