Monochrome landscape with a single bare tree standing in a plowed field under a moody, cloud-filled sky.

slowly crawling from under the rock I've been for the past few weeks as the grass period has ended and I was running out of grass.

The buggs were grassed out by my persistence and I fell out of their grass.

It's a slow process, pixel by pixel, a move bold as grass.

But I digrass, I'll step on the grass for the sake of prograss.

In the 1930's the Civilian Conservation Corp built McBride Lake at Shawnee State Forest. The stone they cut and placed below the spillway is in excellent condition. Located in Ohio's Little Smokies.

Spring is coming soon, but this lone tree on the B4350 just south of the Whitney-on-Wye toll bridge in Hereforshire is still bare, stark against dramatic cloudy skies.

Winter has grabbed hold of the land in the lower foothills, stripping the trees of their foliage and covering the earth with a soft persistent blanket of early morning fog.

The old rock walls at Bridgeport are a nice compliment to the bare trees and damp earth which is starting to sport a nice green carpet that will last into the early summer. I revel in the subtle colors of the early winter, when muted reds and oranges dominate the landscape.

I thought this looked better in color than b/w.

Rose Cottage is an attractive but unlisted ivy-covered home in the Wiltshire village of Worton. I would guess it is late Victorian..

Worton (pop. 600) is 6 km/4 miles south-west of Devizes in the valley of the Semington Brook.

I know it's been done before, many times, but I'm really pleased with this ICM.

It's rare to find an old Studebaker pickup out in the wild, let alone 3 of them.

While reprocessing some older shots, I came across this one that is worth posting.

Looking towards Leather Tor from near Middleworth Tor on an overcast day. Good for a more moody photo.

I love trees when they are without their leaves and you can see the shape of their branches.

This was a descent sunset shot through the head seed on this plant but there were two large poles with lights and cell antennas that had to go, this slide is more on what you dont see as well as added, still make out one pole base in the trees that is now a tree, just not the eye sore it was. Nature sleeps as the sunsets today but the days are getting longer now and will not be long until this slumber is awaken.

This one hit Explore, whoops; wasn't planning on that. Well, this is Brookfield Orchards, in case someone wants to drop them a 'like' on FB (or visit if you're in the area). We had stopped in to buy ourselves some candy from their charming New England-y shoppe.

Low sunshine catches some trees bare but for moss near the tiny village of Stert (population 176) in Wiltshire.
