A rainy day's drive, a misty scene, bare trees.

For a while I was seeing trucks from Clear Water services a lot but they must have gotten the sewer problems taken care of because I haven't seen them around lately... Happy Truck Thursday, Everybody!!!

An icy dawn a year ago, on Lake Bohinj in Slovenia. I remember it being a relief to see some features finally emerging from the freezing fog.

Once again, Scott and I were up before the sun this morning, but this time we decided to stick a little closer to home and see what we could find for sunrise at Petrie Island.

Luckily for us, the fog decided to roll in as the sun was reaching just over the tree lines. Creating this lovely light and haunting glow throughout the area.

It was a great way to start a morning of hiking and exploring.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

... across the lake from here in Peachland BC. An uplifting day with many people out and about, taking advantage of the sunshine.

A fine morning after a mild snow storm in the night.

The house from the previous photo is in the background.

Another image from the recent visit to North Yorkshire, the very last of the direct light before the sun dips below the horizon, this was taken not long after the last posted image and from the opposite side with the sun in front instead of behind, this was the exact image I was after here and I had to work pretty quickly, I'd already managed one shot with the sun bursting through the center of the tree which was decent but I much prefer this one , literally had about a minute to change spots, frame it up and check it again before shooting, moments later the sun had gone and the tree was left in darkness.

It always amazes me how quick the sun seems to dissapear once it has got really low in the sky, an hour before when it is a lot higher it seems to be making no progress at all when you are waiting, but when you are up against it trying to get the image you want it seems to vanish ten times quicker.....

Photography in Slovenia is all about the churches. There are around 3,000 of them, in a country that's geographically smaller than Wales. And many of them are very cutely perched on top of hills, surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery. You often get cloud inversions, but sadly not for us on this day. Never mind - this passing cloud at sunrise was pretty enough. The church is St Tomaz in Selca.

Processed a little differently this time. Instead of using RGB for channel swapping, I used CMYK instead.
