It was an incredible atmosphere on the dune overlooking the big Lake. Just above freezing and the snow clinging everywhere. There was a mist at the shoreline about 25 feet below the dune.
Thank you so much for your visit!

They may have a bit of an ice coating on this morning but what a seat this tree family has to welcome in each new day! From High Point State Park, the appropriately named highest spot in New Jersey, 1 January 2020, about 5 1/2 minutes after sunrise. A couple of days before I took this there was a storm that left about a 3/4 inch ice coating on all the trees but not the roads, made for an interesting look!
Life has been very busy and I've not had time to be online. I took this just before we had the huge snowstorm, and I'm sure many of you will recognize this place from my past posts.
I will try to catch up with your latest images :)
Yesterday we were once again in the Udawalawe Nation Park in the south of Sri Lanka. There are many elephants, water buffaloes and crocodiles, but also some small animals like mongooses, monitor lizards and especially birds. For me, from a photographic point of view, it is mainly trees that are interesting, including bare tree corpses.

Taken by the Mississippi River..Many of the trees are thriving with their roots exposed like this one... This happens because of flooding that has occurred throughout the years and in time the soil erodes away, thus exposing the roots. I love these trees, for their strength and beauty!
I'm having computer issues, so if I don't get back online I just would like to wish all of you a blessed Thanksgiving!

We still have pockets of color in our area and we take drives and walks to embrace the last hurrah of autumn. I had a wonderful time raking Maple Leaves with our 2 year old grandson last week and then jumping in the pile. The giggles were heartwarming. It’s been a beautiful warm October for us.

We drove up to Squamish a few days ago in the hope of seeing eagles as we heard there were hundreds up there right now. No luck though, we only saw one very high in a tree. But it was a lovely walk along the Cheakamus River. In spite of much of the world being in a polar vortex, our weather is warmer, and the mountains have much less snow on them than any other year I can remember. There is a possibility of a bit of snow in a couple of days, and I hope it happens. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
I took this on a bright blue afternoon with some clouds, alter to a reddish evening horizon with overcast sky, Winter's Bare Tree on the Horizon.

It was obviously a winter photo. Using a layer mask in elements and a blur effect. We have a few country roads with no telephone poles. It makes for a cool shot sometimes. Now I see one after I wrote this.
Happy Slider Sunday

It really was a bridge to fall on too, as it was quite slippery. ;)
Wishing a lovely evening to you..
