Photographer Daniel Burleson on Big Yellow Mountain.
Daniel Burleson, Dale King and I finally hiked out to the southern grassy balds of Big Yellow Mountain. Even with the 14°F temperature, 40 mph wind and numb fingers we had a very enjoyable visit. As you can see, there was a clear blue sky, so the early morning, golden light did not last long. I am looking forward to hiking back out there soon to capture this new discovery in different seasons, weather and moods.

The village green and mature Ash tree in the conservation village of Barningham, County Durham, in spring sunshine.
This path in the park is between a canal and river Werra (hidden behind the trees). A really great construction, but in summer the river is almost totally hidden by trunks and trees.
Poor park!
The sun was setting and shining on half of this beautiful tree's branches..........
