My favorite kind of juice to make is Carrot, Apple, Celery. Naturally sweet and healthy. Good as a snack or part of a breakfast. Served yesterday with scrambled eggs, sweet italian sausage (made fresh at the local store), and hen of the woods mushrooms (sauteed in butter with the sausage and a dab of apple cider vinegar).
Following on from the packet of crisps here's something a little healthier!
With hindsight I probably could have done this with a single tone mapped RAW file but instead I did a 5 exposure HDR (even though there isn't a huge amount of dynamic range).
I have to confess I saw another tone mapped apple on Flickr and thought I'd give it a go myself so if that was you and you're looking at this thanks for the inspiration!
Testing my Cannon Rebel T3 with some apples. No photo editing done. Need to play around with shutter speed/Fstop.
Apples, Roger's Orchards Sept 24, 2011 JUST BEFORE the Massive Freak Connecticut Blizzard that wiped out acres of Apple Trees. by Mike Mozart of TheToyChannel and JeepersMedia on YouTube
Last weekend Mrs. Orca and I picked up about a thousand pounds of apple wood when someone nearby felled a dying tree. This was a test piece, turned very wet and then hit with a heat gun before sanding and finishing in one day. It turned as nice as I could imagine, and shows no signs of cracking so far. Live edge apple crotch bowl, finished in lemon oil and beeswax, Olympia , Washington.
Photographer should only use Apple! It is a cliché.
I'm using Cinema Display which is around 10 years old now, and it surely has lots of advantages like near perfect colors and pleasant contrast out of box.
Apple is always a good cliché :)
... and background bokeh just the icing on the cake
This is the first year our apple tree has had apples since we planted it in 2007. We had just gotten a new dog and he bit the top of the tree so t's take it four years to recover and produce fruit.
We didn't get a lot of apples and I can't remember what kind they are. Might be Romes.
Even if an apple a day won't keep the doctor away, apples are good for you. I did some quick research and discovered that they are full of vitamins C and A, and they are high in fiber. Best of all, they are delicious! Macintosh is our favorite. What's yours?
Taken with Quantaray 28-90mm AF lens on a Canon 10D digital slr body that I acquired yesterday, with a battery pack "motor drive" and two batteries, for all of $70.
The perfect Howgate Wonder. Nominally a cooking apple, but if you like your eating apples on the sharp side, as I do, this one would be nice. This one's about 4"/10cm in diameter.

Crab apples near the building where I live, as they look in Autumn :)
Crabapples are widely grown as ornamental trees, grown for their beautiful flowers or fruit, with numerous cultivars selected for these qualities and for resistance to disease.
There are over 35 species and 700 cultivated varieties of crabapples and have been a part of the home landscape for many years.
Blossoms often open from pink or red buds and change to paler shades after opening, creating a beautiful pink cloud lasting several weeks. Asian crab apple specimens are usually preferred for ornament because their fruits are more colorful and last into the winter providing food for over-wintering birds.
Apples and crabapples are in the rose family, Rosaceae, in the genus Malus. Crabapples are differentiated from apples based on fruit size. If fruit is two inches in diameter or less, it is termed a crabapple. If the fruit is larger than two inches, it is classified as an apple.
Due to their versatility, crabapples make excellent choices for use around homes, schools, parks, public and commercial buildings, and in highway plantings.
I took this juice pic at the hotel breakfast with my Apple phone. I was tempted to actually get some juice, but I hate apple juice! Just wasn’t willing to drink, and was equally unwilling to waste it.
