On April 12, 1997 I changed my life by putting a credit card down at Sears and buying an underpowered but still mind blowing Mac -- the Performa PowerPC 6400. It propelled me into the world of multimedia and using new software such as After Effects, Bryce, Strata StudioPro and RayDream 3D. It came "Internet Ready" with a faster modem than my old 486 (upgraded from a 386SX). I was turned on to the wonderful world of zip cartridges loaded with software and utilities. I became addicted to Mac websites and Mac magazines.
