We were driving back to Hull the other day we passed the Little Wold Vineyard in South Cave and got a very pleasant surprise . On the side of the hills were the vines are planted there was a whole field of sunflowers . We stopped the car and took a few photos . The combination of the sunflowers against a blue sky evoked memories of time spent in the South of France .
In case anyone doubts this we do have a Vineyard just 12 miles out of Hull which I still find amazing
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .
Poema CCXXXIX
o inverno despe a natureza

Poem CCXXXIX
winter undresses the nature
as how I get naked before you
to the marrow

The Château de Villandry is a grand country house located in Villandry, in the département of Indre-et-Loire, France. It is especially known for its beautiful gardens.
The lands where an ancient fortress once stood were known as Columbine until the 17th century. They were acquired in the early 16th century by Jean Le Breton, France's Controller-General for War under King Francis I, and a new château was constructed around the original 14th-century keep where King Philip II of France once met Richard I of England to discuss peace.
The château remained in the Le Breton family for more than two centuries until it was acquired by the Marquis de Castellane. During the French Revolution the property was confiscated and in the early 19th century, Emperor Napoleon acquired it for his brother Jérôme Bonaparte.
In 1906, Joachim Carvallo purchased the property, financed by his wife Ann Coleman, who was an heiress to the Coleman fortune. Extensive time, money, and devotion were then poured into repairing it and creating extraordinary gardens. Its famous Renaissance gardens include a water garden, ornamental flower gardens, and vegetable gardens. The gardens are laid out in formal patterns created with low box hedges. In 1934, Château de Villandry was designated a Monument historique. Like all the other châteaux of the Loire Valley, it is a World Heritage Site.
Am letzten Sonntag kam auch bei uns am Niederrhein und bei unseren niederländischen Nachbarn ein bisschen Winterstimmung auf. Eine gute Möglichkeit ein paar winterliche Fotos zu machen.
Whilst it may not look it Paddy is balanced on an old log about 5 foot off the ground surrounded by 6 foot tall bracken. He took a little convincing that there was actually a big log there in amongst the bracken stalks but once spotted executed the 'hup' command without fault . However thereafter he had to wait patiently whilst I extricated myself back onto a path then walk backwards until I had him distant enough (foubles of a fixed focal length:)) .. one of the benefits of a collie is that they are very good at taking command .. either that or they are extremely good at staring watching the idiot with growing exasperation and incredulity :)
PORT OF GIBRALTAR (June 28, 2021) The U.S. Navy submarine USS Alaska (SSBN 732) arrived at the Port of Gibraltar, June 28, 2021. This brief stop strengthens cooperation between the United States and the United Kingdom-Gibraltar, and demonstrates U.S. capability, readiness, flexibility, and continuing commitment as part of NATO.

Can you tell I am hooked? By now, I have printed five batches of cyanotypes from different negatives and on different watercolor paper, stocked up on even more paper, and already have plans that will keep me busy for a while. And it feels like the fun I am having is barely starting! ... #etbtsy
