Autumn Polaroid Week 2021 Day 4, Picture 2
Polaroid Polacolor Pro 100 4x5, expired in 11/1997, with pods from 125i, expired in 05/2007
I have a few packs of Polaroid 125i which produce no image at all. The developer is not dried up but the image is white as if the negative has been fully exposed. I thought this was due to the developer going bad, but I figured before throwing the film in the trash I could try the pods on some dried up Polaroid sheet film. I had to use 1½ pods (parting the pod between the two chambers) to get full coverage for the 4x5 film.

TONY CRAGG
Né en 1949, à Liverpool, Royaume-Uni. Vit et travaille à Wuppertal, Allemagne.
Tony Cragg commence ses études au Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, avant de suivre l’enseignement du Royal College of Art de Londres en 1973. Dès 1979 il enseigne à l’Académie des arts de Düsseldorf, où il devient professeur en 1988 et reçoit le Turner Prize. En 2001, il est nommé professeur de sculpture à l’Académie des arts de Berlin. Depuis 1994, il est membre de l’Académie royale des arts de Londres et, depuis 2002, de l’Académie des arts de Berlin. En 2007, Cragg reçoit le Praemium Imperiale et en 2009, il succède à Markus Lüpertz en tant que recteur de l’Académie des arts de Düsseldorf (jusqu’en 2013). En 2013 et 2014, Cragg enseigne au Collège de France à Paris. Tony Cragg se considère comme un matérialiste radical, en constante recherche de nouveaux matériaux dont il explore et développe les possibilités. Il a fréquemment utilisé des techniques telles que l’empilement, la superposition et l’amoncellement de différents types de rebuts et d’objets du quotidien, leur donnant une interprétation inattendue. Celles-ci rappellent des formes géologiques naturelles, comme la sédimentation de particules minérales pour créer des strates ou encore l’altération de la roche par les forces du vent et de l’eau. Les œuvres récentes suggèrent quant à elles le mouvement et le caractère éphémère des éléments, comme dans ses formes en acier inoxydable qui évoquent la fluidité du métal en fusion.
L’œuvre pour Paris La Défense
À Paris La Défense, Tony Cragg installe son œuvre Senders. La verticalité de cette sculpture en colonne évoque Constantin Brâncuși (1876-1957) dans son approche unique de l’abstraction. Le propos n’est pas de copier ou représenter ce qui existe, mais découvrir quelles idées et quelles émotions peuvent être évoquées à travers l’utilisation de nouvelles formes et de nouveaux matériaux. « Son travail artistique montre une vision de l’être humain établie à travers sa relation à l’environnement […] et des outils que nous utilisons pour façonner le monde » Lynne Cooke, 2003

First Aberdeen Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 37643 travels along Guild Street while operating a Service 2 to Auchinyell.
Despite being displaced from the Service 19 in January 37643/44 still carry full Platinum 19 livery while B7RLE 69357 which was displaced from the service in 2017 still carries Platinum 19 internal branding.
37643 was new to Aberdeen in May 2008 and was one of 12 Geminis (37633-44) originally purchased for the Blue Line 17/17X between Faulds Gate and Newhills/Dyce. Although at least one of these (37635) carried route branding it was removed prior to entering service for reasons unknown. By 2009 the Geminis were appearing far less frequently on the 17 and were being split between the 1/2, 16/16A and 19. In September 2012 the 19 saw it's frequency increased to Every 12 Minutes, a year later in November 2013 the 19 became the first of three "Platinum" routes, as such all 12 Geminis were extensively refurbished and gained an attractive black, grey and turquoise livery. According to First figures at the time patronage on the 19 increased by around 5% in the following months. Following the success of the Platinum 19 the Green Line 12 and Pink Line 13 would also be "upgraded".
In January 2021 the 19 would once again become Aberdeen's flagship route with the launch of 15 new Hydrogen powered Wright Streetdeck-FCEVs, the first of their kind. With this 10 of the Geminis (37633/34/37-44) were proposed to depart the fleet for Bath with 37635/36 which has already been repainted out of Platinum livery being retained. 37643/44 were already being prepared to head south with their ticket machines and fare boxes removed, however at the last minute the decision was made to retain them due to the unreliability of the Ex-York Citaros which had entered service the around the same time.
Almost a year on from being displaced from the 19 and 37643/44 still carry full Platinum livery, it remains to be seen if they will be repainted in to the Aberdeen Urban livery like sister vehicles 37635/36 or if they will be displaced when the next batch of Wright Streetdeck-FCEVs arrive.

Sinds 25 mei 2021 is Nederland sinds 5 jaar weer opgenomen in het Europese nachtnet van de NightJet. Vanuit Amsterdam rijdt er dagelijks via Utrecht en Arnhem een NightJet deel naar Wenen en naar Innsbruck.
Op de nevelige zaterdag 5 juni had ik eindelijk de mogelijkheid om de eerste foto op mijn thuislijn te maken. Met 50 minuten vertraging door een kapotte ICE bij Emmerich passeert NSI 193 766 met NightJet 420/40420 vanuit Innsbruck/Wenen naar Amsterdam CS de spoorbrug over de IJssel bij Arnhem.

Having stopped to acknowledge the minutes silence for the Duke of Edinburgh at 15:00, Hawksworth designed "Modified Hall” 4-6-0 no.6960 ‘Raveningham Hall’ gets going again past little Rock with the 13:45 Kidderminster-Bridgnorth train.
The wreath is in commemoration of the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, held today (Saturday).
2021 SVR Spring Steam Up Gala
The start of the Summer 2021 timetable has seen the commencement of the East Midlands Railways Connect fast electric outer suburban service from St Pancras to Luton, Bedford, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby. Operated by Siemens Class 360 “Desiro” four car electric units displaced from Anglia and uprated to 110mph the Connect service provides generally two trains per hour in each direction through out the day.
On the first weekday of the service 360108 rolls into the new platform 4 at Wellingborough working 1H33, 10:40 Corby – St Pancras, 17th May 2021.
Wellingborough station has changed considerably since my last visit in January 2020 with extended platforms 1,2 and 3, the new four track layout and platform 4, the new footbridge/lifts and of course electrification
Unit History
360108 is one of twenty one, four car units built by Siemens in 2002 to replace Class 312 slam-door units on London Liverpool Street to Ipswich and Clacton-on-Sea services being displaced from these services in 2020 and redeployed to East Midlands Railways

Following a fresh snowfall that ended only a few hours before, 511 approaches Akerley Blvd with C44-9WL 2512 and class unit SD70M-2 8000 on January 23, 2021. The unit train of gypsum empties have just been picked up at Wright's Cove and are on their way west to National Gypsum's mine at East Milford. Since there was no CN Christmas train this year due to lack of manpower, I figured this would be an appropriate take for the annual Christmas greeting. I want to wish a very Merry Christmas to my friends and followers as you spend time with friends and family this holiday season!

Bruce Springsteen said in his 2005 VH1 Storytellers interview about the meaning of this song, "Something is opening up to you… What I hoped it would be when I wrote this song is what I got out of rock and roll music – which is a sense of a larger life, greater experience, hopefully more and better sex, a sense of fun – more fun, a sense of personal exploration, your possibilities…"

Image taken on the 10th of May, 2021, Kew Gardens, London (ignore the Exif data). Please see my previous images and comments on this sculpture ("Leaf Spirit"). In this close-up it is a bit easier to detect the design principle of this work of art. The human face is composed of leaves (imprints or cutouts). The borders or limits of the face are 'fuzzy' and merge with the botanical live forms around it. I read this sculpture as an acknowledgment of a new perception of reality (in the West at least): the concept of the individualised and autonomous self has come to an end. Rather, the self is connected to everything around it. Our face is only a momentary surface expression of the history of life and cosmos. To express this, the sculptor used a term taken from animism and its spirit worlds. The Upanishads would also be capable of providing terminology for this new experience (such as 'Tat Tvam Asi').
Raildox 482 035 nutze am 30. September 2021 die freie Lücke im Fahrplan auf der Schnellfahrstrecke Berlin - Stendal um mit einem Kesselwagenzug gen Westen zu fahren. Das Bild entstand bei Neugarten.
Het is niet makkelijk voor goederentreinen om via de hogesnelheidslijn Berlijn - Stendal te rijden bij de vele ICE treinen die hier van en naar Berlijn rijden. Op 30 september 2021 was er blijkbaar een beetje ruimte en kon de Raildox 482 035 met een ketelwagentrein richting Westen over deze lijn rijden - hier te zien bij Neugarten.
It isn't easy to find a suitable timeslot for freight trains that use the high speed line between Berlin and Stendal. Because ICE trains run here several times per hour and there are only a few possibilities to "park" a freight train somewhere along the line, dispatch has to pick its moments carefully.
On September 30th 2021, there was obviously enough time for Raildox 482 035 to use this line with a westbound tank car train - as can be seen here near Neugarten.
