Nyidalur – Jokuldalur (Nýjadalur Valley) 20210719
Both names, The New Valley (Nyidalur) and The Glacial Valley (Jokuldalur) are valid, the first one in the South and the latter in the North. The valley cuts into the southern part of the mountain Tungnafellsjokull and its mouth faces west.
The tourist huts are a bit further west and many people, who stay there for a day or two, enjoy the hike up the valley into the wide pass beyond it, Vonarskard (The Pass of Hope), between the mountain and the northeast corner of the Vatnajökull icecap.
Some people also climb the mountain, all the way to the top of the 50 km² glaciers covering it, but they have to be careful because of crevasses. A river runs through the valley and just north of the tourist huts.
This river along with another glacial river, Hagakvisl, 5 km further north, can become obstacles en route when heavy rain and increased melting make them swell.
After the establishment of Europe’s largest national park, Vatnajokull, on June 7th, 2008, Nyidalur/Jokuldalur became one of the centers for the NP wardens.

Revisited Jake's Antiques, on Route 44 in Chepachet. The place has deteriorated a lot in the past few years. "Jake" passed away in 1995. The store has been abandoned for a long time.

As this sad year is coming to the end, it is time to dream with a New Year, 2021, in which we can recover happiness, optimism and illusion, something that this 2020 has taken away from us.
It has been a very sad year and the most painful thing has been the enormous number of people who died due to the pandemic, and won´t be with us again.
Let´s pray to win the virus and to remember this year we´re going to start as a good year.
I want to dedicate this picture of the Full Cold Moon of December to all those people who have suffered or still suffer, to those who lost a loved one and to those who have lost of may lose their work. For all of them, my affection and solidarity.

Luna Llena de Diciembre entre unas delgadas nubes en el cielo de Madrid, España.
Ahora que este triste año llega a su fin, es hora de soñar con un Año Nuevo, 2021, en el que podamos recuperar la alegría, el optimismo y la ilusión, algo que este 2020 nos ha quitado.
Ha sido un año muy triste y lo más doloroso ha sido la enorme cantidad de personas que murieron a causa de la pandemia y no volverán a estar con nosotros.
Recemos para ganar al virus y recordar este año que vamos a empezar como un buen año.
Quiero dedicar esta foto de la Luna Llena Fría de diciembre a todas aquellas personas que han sufrido o aún sufren, a las que perdieron a un ser querido y a las que han perdido o pueden perder su trabajo. Para todos ellos, mi cariño y solidaridad.

Wegens werkzaamheden was er van zaterdag 20 t/m vrijdag 26 februari 2021 (deels) geen treinverkeer mogelijk via grensovergang Emmerich (D) en hierdoor werden veel treinen omgeleid via grensovergang Venlo. DB Cargo-vectron 193 356 is op 20 februari 2021 met een via Venlo omgeleide UnitCargo-trein onderweg vanuit de Kijfhoek via Venlo naar Köln Gremberg (D) en passeert hier ter hoogte van Griendtsveen, waar door de overvloedige regen/sneeuwval van de laatste weken het waterpeil in de sloot langs het spoor extreem hoog is.
In de trein zijn een flink aantal gasketelwagens te zien voor het vervoer van gasmengsels ( 23 / 1965 ) Gemisch C. Achteraan rijden ook nog een aantal ketelwagens type zacns voor het vervoer van waterstofperoxyde ( 58 / 2014 ) in de trein mee.

Christened "The Lovely Trina", this custom cruiser features a hangar bay for in-orbit customer parking, a rover showroom, and twelve rover delivery shuttle pods.
The forward cabin includes a luxury three-story lounge with a massive viewing window for taking in the celestial sights while contemplating your newest rover purchase. This area also houses the quarters for the sales staff and the finance office.
Above the main hull is the command bridge and the quarters for the ship's crew, as well as the communication array essential for those remote rover sales.
Motive power is supplied by a massive positronic fusion reactor that feeds the central plasma pulse warp engine. The ship also features eight smaller sub-light thrusters for cruising the local systems.
Partnering with Rovana (well-known throughout the galaxy for their remote used-rover purchasing network) Honest John has devised a system that can deliver your rover right from orbit to your doorstep using the rover delivery shuttle pods.
Having become smitten with his assistant Trina, the lifelong bachelor, in a fit of uncharacteristic romance, named his ship "The Lovely Trina" and had it painted in some of her favorite colors. Honest John secretly plans to propose on the vessel's maiden voyage.

...So this is my first attempt at SHIPtember. I've always wanted to give it a try. I'm fairly satisfied with the results. This month has been a huge learning opportunity. If I participate again, I will do things TOTALLY differently.
