Irresistible attraction of Alpine roads
Am 10.10.2021 wurden zwei Dampfzüge der BayernBahn zwischen Nördlingen und Gunzenhausen gefahren. Im Einsatz waren die 50 0072-4 und die S3/6. Da wir uns nur für die Fahrten nach Nördlingen interessierten, wurde der Vormittag bei Heglau und Aha verbracht. Der Verkehr war allerdings sehr mau. Auf dem Radar hatte ich bloß einen umgeleiteten Walter KLV aus Rostock Seehafen. Die Lok war allerdings unbekannt. Daher war die Freude beider Fotografen groß, als die DB 193 357 mit dem "Das ist Grün" Design samt vollen Walter KLV als KT 50033 an Heglau vorbeifuhr.
....im malerischen Roussillon (Vaucluse), einem Dorf, dessen Bedeutung mit der Gewinnung von Ocker in der direkten Umgebung zu tun hat. So sehen Putzfassaden in den typischen Farbtönen aus, wenn es geregnet hat...es ist nicht immer Sonnenschein...

Grizzly Bear
The Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis), also known as the North American brown bear or simply Grizzly, is a population or subspecies of the Brown Bear inhabiting North America.
Grizzlies, like black bears, come in a variety of colors. They can range from blond to nearly black. Sometimes they have silver-tipped guard hairs that give them a "grizzled" appearance. Grizzlies often have a dished-in face and a large hump of heavy muscle above the shoulders. Their claws are around four inches long. Grizzlies usually weigh around 300-600 pounds but can grow up to 1,400 pounds. Adult Grizzlies can be six feet or more when standing on hind legs, and three to four feet when standing on all fours. Based on a multi-year DNA study, it's estimated that there are roughly 750 grizzly bears living within the Greater Yellowstone Area.

On 10th July 2021 the Mayflower Steam Engine steamed into Eastbourne on its route from Southend East to Hastings for a Steam Train experience run by the company Steam Dreams.
This lady told me she had always wanted to travel on a steam train and she had certainly dressed for the occasion. I though that the sepia touch took us back in time.
Although it was raining, I managed to stand on the platform whilst the tender was loaded up with coal and water for the journey.
Mayflower was built in 1948 by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow but was delivered post-nationalisation and acquired the number 61306 by British Railways.
LNER Thompson Class B1 61306 is a preserved British steam locomotive. In preservation, it has carried the LNER-derived number 1306 and the name Mayflower, complete with LNER Apple Green Livery, though this guise is entirely fictional as the engine was BR built. 61306 now runs wearing BR Apple Green with British Railways lettering.

November 24, 2021: A solo Canadian Pacific AC4400CWM GE engine in nice shiny clean paint brings empty CSX phosphate hopper train CSX K821 (Cicero, IL-Winston, FL) Southbound on the K&A main line of the CSX Etowah Subdivision at Crandall, GA. The train was making every bit of track speed, which combined with the late afternoon traffic, made this the only time I was able to catch it.

Let's hope he didn't go up thinking "it's August", otherwise I don't know if he'll wake up.
It was not a mild night at almost 2000m, with about 4°C and wind from the North at times.
To sleep in, you need winter gear/equipment.
A CH-53K King Stallion dropping some Marines onto the right side of the MLS display. I was also luckily enough to have my CH-53K nominated for the Best Aircraft Brickee!

De voormalige NS mat`54 386 van het spoorwegmuseum maakte vanuit Utrecht maliebaan een conditierit naar Emmen via Deventer Zwolle. De NS mat`54 386 naar Emmen bij Ommen op 9-1-2021.
Am 30. Mai 2021 war der KLV-Zug DGS 40565 von Padborg nach Verona Q.E. fotogen beladen. Hinter der 193 559, die mit ihrer äußeren Gestaltung auf die Nachhaltigkeit des Schienenverkehrs hinweist, befanden sich sechs Auflieger der dänischen Spedition Lauritzen. Bei Breitenfurt im Altmühltal konnte ich die Leistung aufnehmen.
On 30 May 2021, the intermodal train DGS 40565 from Padborg to Verona Q.E. was photogenically loaded. Behind the 193 559, whose exterior design points to the sustainability of rail transport, were six trailers of the Danish trucking company Lauritzen. Near Breitenfurt in the Altmühl valley I was able to photograph the service.

Ibon is the name given in the Aragonese Pyrinees to these kind of small mountain lakes. This Ibon (Lake) of Plan is 2,000 meters high, surrounded by mountains and already frozen early in November.

Ibon es el nombre que se les da a los lagos de alta montaña en el Pirineo Aragonés. El Ibon de Plan está a una altitud de casi 2.000 metros, y ya congelado a principios de noviembre.
