SBB Cargo 193 464 war am 10. Juni 2021 mit einem langen Güterzug unterwegs gen Hamburg und fuhr südlich von Bienenbüttel an einem Feld mit (noch kleine) Weihnachtsbäume vorbei.
Met een lange containertrein was de SBB Cargo 193 464 op 10 juni 2021 onderweg naar Hamburg. Te Bienenbüttel reed de trein langs een veld met kerstbomen (die nog zes maanden moeten groeien voordat ze verkocht worden)...
SBB Cargo 193 464, seen here hauling a freight train towards Hamburg on June 10th 2021, passed by a field with christmas trees (which obviously need to grow a bit more in the next six months)..

Last year In October we went for a drive through the east end of Caledon; stopping here and there to take photos of the scenery and local farmlands.
this is a shot of an open road in the country side.

Oxalis pes-caprae (African wood-sorrel, Bermuda buttercup, Bermuda sorrel, buttercup oxalis, Cape sorrel, English weed, goat's-foot, sourgrass, soursob or soursop; Afrikaans: suring) is a species of tristylous yellow-flowering plant in the wood sorrel family Oxalidaceae. Oxalis cernua is a less common synonym for this species. Some of the most common names for the plant reference its sour taste owing to oxalic acid present in its tissues. Indigenous to South Africa, the plant has become a pest plant in different parts of the word that is difficult to eradicate because of how it propagates through underground bulbs.
With a new year, I think it's time to switch from the Sandhill Cranes I've been posting for the last month (not that I don't have a lot of other shots...). This White-crowned Sparrow is a favorite winter visitor here. Taken at the Audubon Center of Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, Missouri.

Went out with my new (old) Lubitel 2 Twin Lens Reflex Russian Medium format film camera about a month ago, along with my phone and new Sony A7ii camera to try it out....

Am 01.10.2021 wurden mit der Komposition bestehend aus der Re 460 081 und dem Flirt 231 002 (Transport for Wales) sowie zwei Zwischenwagen der Centralbahn diverse Fahrten zwischen Renens und Auvernier durchgeführt. Das Bild entstand bei Vaumarcus am Neuenburgersee.
Tijdens onze trip naar het Maintal in 2021, verwachtten we gedurende de avond van 25 september nog een leuke bonus. Reeds lange tijd voordien was gemeld dat er een oude BR221 een werktrein zou rijden van Würzburg richting Neuss voor SGL. Uiteraard waren de drie fotograferen hier enthousiast over, en vatten bijgevolg post op het bekende fotopunt in Gambach.
Niet veel later kregen we daadwerkelijk de 221 121 in dienst voor SGL te zien, met een lege sleep platte wagens onderweg als trein 55935 richting Neuss.

Toen de Rhätische Bahn in 1910 besloot om haar netwerk te gaan elektrificeren, werd met het traject Bever - Scuol als proef gestart. Om deeltrajecten stroomloos te kunnen zetten, waren schakelstations benodigd. Deze schakelstations werden deels in open lucht en vanwege de weersomstandigheden deels in stenen gebouwtjes ondergebracht. Deze gebouwtjes staan nu onder monumentenzorg. Het schakelhuisje in Susch is markant vanwege haar aanbouwtje en werd onder architectuur van Meinrad Lorenz in 1913 gebouwd.
Langs het geelbeige gepleisterde station van Susch passeerde de werkdagelijkse G 5329 met de rode RhB 626 "Malans" van Chur via Landquart naar Samedan.
