Grizzly Bear
The Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis), also known as the North American brown bear or simply Grizzly, is a population or subspecies of the Brown Bear inhabiting North America.
Grizzlies, like black bears, come in a variety of colors. They can range from blond to nearly black. Sometimes they have silver-tipped guard hairs that give them a "grizzled" appearance. Grizzlies often have a dished-in face and a large hump of heavy muscle above the shoulders. Their claws are around four inches long. Grizzlies usually weigh around 300-600 pounds but can grow up to 1,400 pounds. Adult Grizzlies can be six feet or more when standing on hind legs, and three to four feet when standing on all fours. Based on a multi-year DNA study, it's estimated that there are roughly 750 grizzly bears living within the Greater Yellowstone Area.

Still little snow, this is Fossen recreation area for snowboard, sledge and ski (twintip?). We all hope for more snow soon.
The recent sunshine has brought all the tulips out in our garden. I love these cream ones.

Met de jaren veranderen de leerlingen, worden mondiger, willen vooral léuke lessen. Tevergeefs probeert Frank mee te veranderen. Hij raakt zijn overwicht kwijt, er wordt nauwelijks nog naar hem geluisterd, ouders klagen over zijn gedrag.
Ellende komt zelden alleen.
Tijdens een vakantie in Italië ontmoet zijn vrouw Elisabeth Annagrazia, ze worden vriendinnen. Steeds vaker gaat Elisabeth naar Italië. In Franks hoofd zet zich de gedachte vast dat zijn vrouw een relatie met Annagrazia heeft. Ze neemt steeds meer afstand van hem, ook seksueel. Daar vindt hij een eigen oplossing voor.
Hij raakt overspannen, kan geen les meer geven. Zijn directeur dwingt hem een cursus te volgen: leren omgaan met dat wat ís.
Tijdens de cursusdagen verstopt hij zich achter leugens om medecursisten weg te houden van het leven dat hij leidt. Dan leert hij die leugens los te laten, stap voor stap. Hij wordt veerkrachtiger, maar ontdekt ook dat het verleden zelf bepaalt wanneer het hem inhaalt en om de oren slaat.

Eastbound and westbound BNSF intermodal trains meet at speed at Cosnino, AZ on March 14, 2021. Everytime I revisit BNSF's Southern Transcon in the southwest, I am amazed to see the new players in the intermodal market. Amazon's presence has grown significantly since my previous visit in 2019.

When we made our way up to the Wank (1780 m) it was already afternoon and we had some moody and hazy light on the peaks of the Wetterstein mountains: Waxenstein (2277 m) in the mid foreground and Zugspitze (2962 m) in the top left background. I enjoy this scene because of its play with high contrast which emphasizes the powerful appearance of that range.
