The Golden Lamb Inn is the oldest hotel in Ohio. It was established in Lebanon, Ohio, in 1803.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 12, 1978.
Lebanon is located on the old road between Cincinnati and Columbus. For this reason, many notables have visited the inn. The Golden Lamb has been visited by twelve American Presidents: William Henry Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, William McKinley, Warren G. Harding, William Howard Taft, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush.
Other famous guests include Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Daniel Webster, Robert A. Taft, and Lord Stanley, who later became prime minister of the United Kingdom.
Hamburg Tour, die Nächste. Nur ein paar hundert Meter von der Speicherstadt, meiner letzten Tour, sieht die Gegend (gewollt) wieder ganz anders aus. Dort wo eben noch geschichtsträchtige Fassaden, Fleete und Häuser standen, stehen jetzt Häuser, Parks, Anlagen, die Hamburgs anderes Gesicht zeigen und irgendwann für ähnlich viel Gesprächsstoff sorgen werden. In meinem naiven Vorsatz, dachte ich, ich könnte gleich weiter fotografieren. Aber ich hab mich da vertan. Allein an dieser Fassade hab ich lange gesucht, den für mich richtigen Blickpunkt zu finden. Auch funktioniert dort nicht alles in s/w, wie auf meiner letzten Tour. Dieses hier allerdings schon.
I don't think I'll ever be able to consider a 1963 split-window Corvette an "antique". . .No matter what the license plate says.
Timeless style and design. . .
....but this little guy has been waiting years to shine at the appropriate time inn the garden.

The small village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur or Klaustur (The Monastery), has only recently advanced from a cluster of houses to a level of the village, or a hamlet. At least in a historical sense. It is one of the smallest villages in Iceland with permanent residents all year round. For many reasons, this village has quite a different history than most towns and villages. It is not located on the shore, but inland, and has no access to the sea or fishing grounds. The village has one of the best climates in Iceland and fertile farms as neighbors. It is also neighbor to many natural wonders like Jökulsárlón, Fjaðrárgljúfur, and Lakagígar.
