Very satisfying to see these half finished! #zentangle #zendoodle #etsy

One of two Victorian tiled floors that I decided to tangle up. Plenty of opportunity to shade here rather than block out with black.

this ZT is tile size (done for swap), and I really enjoyed the small format. I think it will grow on me.

Did a lot more than I had originally planned - sometimes I just don't know when to stop! :)

This tangle reminds me of another favourite of mine called 'Yew-Dee' by Peg Farmer.

Thanks for your visit

for 'I am the Divas' week 11 monontangle challenge

not quite "monotangle" but when a tangle talks...we listen!

Ok, so there might be easier ways of constructing this tangle pattern, but I was playing with octagons and this is what resulted. Looking at it gives me a headache after a while...

All my tangle patterns can be found at my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com

this is not a zentangle exactly but I want to share it anyway. I it just the germ of an idea for my fiction project for the art-house co-op project.

Done on 8 1/2x11 black card stock with a milky white Galaxy marker, white Derwent colour soft pencil & white jellyroll pen ... I'm so stuck on doing white on black here lately ... I think one of the reasons is that you can go back in on top of them with colored pencils & add soft colors, at least with the products I've used & listed ... I think Prisma colored pencils work best on top of the others ... I always save the pure B&W, & then go back in & color over the original piece ... if you take the colored version & play with it in your photo programs you can really get some cool effects ... but this piece is just the original colored version. :)

My 'little' word for 2014 is 'FAITH' I believe 2014 is going to be a year of things falling into place - just as they're meant to be :)

Although there are other doodle designs with similar names, this is an original design. Grab the full size worksheet in pdf form and examples of line art created using this pattern at my Rainbow Elephant blog.

So here is the pattern that popped into my head whilst lying awake in bed with my arms above my head....... :)

This pattern came along around Christmas time when I was tangling.

Jingles reminds me of bells.

Here is an example of Jingles (Tangle Pattern #29)

Thank you for looking :)

POSTSCRIPT: since my posting I came across a similar pattern called 'Belled' by Linda Rae (Texasdoxiemama). I have emailed Linda my apologies. I will add a link to her pattern if she is okay with that.... and she is, so here is her version :) Thanks Linda!

Zentangle #01. (Loose) 6"x6" watercolor paper, pencil, sharpie fine point markers.

An anniversary gift for some friends. I have blurred their names (in the heart)

My Groom,

Let my tongue

Service you.

I will please you,

With a true heart.

Playing with some all one color pieces last nite & this morning ... have a few started in different colors that I'll post soon ... may have to take a break for a few days, have been a woman posessed with a pen in hand & I'm starting to really pay for my fun! , My thumb, hand & wrist are swelled up pretty big & painful, even with a wrist band it's giving me fits ... so I guess I should give it a break ... I just don't want to!!! Maybe a day or two, can't see myself not drawing any longer than that! :)

Another card, finished ... at least one variation of it ... done on 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 white cardstock ... Prisma 005, 01 & 03 fine black markers, General Kimberly's water color pencils, Derwent metallic colored pencils, Kuretake Chalk Writers, & Sukura Stardust pens ... :)

This is an original doodle design. Grab the full size worksheet in pdf form, see the how-to video and examples of line art created using this pattern at my Rainbow Elephant blog.

Been inspired by Margaret Bremner, lately...

Lips like blood.

Flesh is power.

Makes us consent

without honour.

I created this whimsical pattern to help transition between tangles. There are so many ways to play with this pattern. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone! ... I've been away too long, have missed all of you & your wonderful art! .... I've been busy working on my " Spring Blooms " challenge as a member of the Kuretake Design Team, this is my first real challenge that went up on my page today ... I did 10 pieces for it, but will only post 4 of them tonite ... I did want to share a couple of patterns with you that I designed for this challenge ... This piece is a collage, made from some of flowers that I designed, I had a couple of sheets full, & collage popped into my head so thats what I did ... All done with Kuretake Zig pens, zig writers, zig calligraphy, zig pastel chalk writers & a colorless brush blender ... so much fun to work with & the colors are awesome!

Hi everyone! ... Sorry I have'nt been around to do much commenting on all of your wonderful creations lately ... but here's why! ... I recieved a great assortment of pens in the mail from Karetake, they want to feature some of my work on thier new blog site with an interview sometime in November ... I'm so excited!, and I'm having a blast working with all of the new pens they sent me! ... This was done with the " chalk pastel writers " I love them, they are so much fun to work with ... they look clear when they go onto the black paper but within a few seconds the color starts to appear right before your eyes! , kind of made me feel like a kid watching something magical happen! ... I will be busy trying out all the different styles & colors of pens & doing pieces for them to choose from for the next few weeks , but I will post the pieces here as I finish them ... had to share this news with you, excited with butterflies in my tummy! :)
