Hi everyone! ... So here's the story ... I finished up this piece earlier this eve, Honey comes into the room & says ... let me see it, I hand it to him , he takes it & looks, silence for a few seconds & then he says ... Oh! This ones not as intricate or detailed as the one's you've been doing lately, not your best work but it's o.k. ... :( .... I feel like I've painted myself into a corner , where I have to fill up every single inch of the paper with detail or it looks unfinished ... hence the title name. I've painted myself into this corner before, where I just want to do something completely different with wide open spaces ... ANYWAYS, This was done on black cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 with Kuretake Pastel Chalk Writers & Derwent Metallic colored pencils ... Thanks for letting me vent! ;)
Post card size, done with fine tip sharpie & Helix 0.1mm pen ... Done for Jeanet who is a very special lady!
Done with Helix 0.1mm black pen, white & gold jellyrolls ... A WARM & GREATFUL THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU BELOW THAT HAVE LEFT SUCH WONDERFUL COMMENTS FOR ME ... I STARTED AT THE BOTTOM TO ANSWER THEM & REALIZED I JUST DON'T HAVE THE ENERGY TO DO IT NOW ... SO AGAIN I SAY THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!! ......CAROLYN ;)
Finally getting to the point of doing examples of what some of my pieces can look like when colored in with colored pencils for my coloring packets ... have been working on this project on & off along with my cards for quite awhile now ... hoping that they will do well in my Esty shop when I finally get it up & running in a few weeks ... sending out my 1st packets to my grandkids this week! :) ... Still so much work to do but keeping busy is a good thing for me :) ... Hope you all have a great day, with at least one person saying I love you ... so I'll close by saying ... Love you guys! :)
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SWEET & WONDERFUL COMMENTS, REALLY MEANS ALOT TO ME COMING FROM SUCH A MULTI TALENTED GROUP , SUPER GREAT BUNCH OF WOMEN YOU ALL ARE! :)
Finally been able to access my belongings that I've had in the boot of my car - this must have been the last thing I did before my car accident.
thanks for looking :)
Just finished this up ... Created on 8 1/2 x 11 Black card stock with Pastel Chalk Writers from Kuretake & black millinium pen for a few details, shaded lightly with Derwent Metallic colored pencils over & under the design work of the pastel writers ... Titled " Flowers for Buffy " for giving me the chance to try out all of the new pens I've been working with & also for giving me the chance to show my work on thier new blogspot. This is a collage of test pieces that I have been doing over the last couple of weeks ... when I looked at them again tonite, the idea to cut them out & make a collage from them just popped into my head ... Soooo I did! It was alot of fun , I think I see alot more of these in the future! :)
Zentangle, my first go. I sat and doodled from my head, and a couple of hours later got this :D I actually found it a fantastic way to deal with pain, which was very bad that day.
My FB friends Techla and Darcy got me into this, after me seeing lots of lampworkers doing them and asking "okay what the hell is this zentangling?". I think I could get addicted. I was a doodler anyway and this gives me an excuse :D
Another in my Victorian series, this is a wall tile pattern from interior designer/architect Talbert.
The curly braces return for a fifth pattern. Similar to 'Buttercup' but still distinct.

This began as a black and white Zen Doodle downloaded from the internet.. Used Painnt to give it the color and then created the little video with the result... The Polka music was a Midi from the Internet converted to an MP3 so it could be used in my Movie program....

Hi All! ... new color page example for my coloring packets ... I posted this one in B&W right around Thanksgiving last yr. when I had a raging fever! ... never thought I would use it as one of my coloring pages, but I think it turned out ok. :)
looks like the number 5 - inspiration from a staircase
Add on 6 July 2012. One of the guys from work saw this one and told me how much he liked it. His birthday is 5th of the 5th 1955!!! so I said, this is definitely for you - so I gave him the original. He is into sheds and will be putting it in a frame and displaying it, along with the other thousands of bits and pieces he has..... It was my pleasure to gift it to him. For those who want to see his shed, here is the link.

I'm proud to say this is my first proper 'original' design, inspired by a silver birch grove. The hatched area would do well as pencil shaded. It helps to separate the trunks from the background as well. Each dark patch is a little swirled tangle.
Hi all ... someone in one of the F.B. groups asked me to post steps to this when I posted the piece " Wood Weaving" a while back ... I just posted it there & thought I would share it here with you all too ... did this up fast so it's kind of messy but I'm sure you can pick it up, I think it's pretty easy to follow ... hope some of you like it enough to give it a try, it's really super simple & fast to put down on paper ... :)
A few 3.5 inch X 3.5 inch tiles I've been working on this weekend.
I'm giving these to a friend - I hope they like them.
Thanks for looking :)
This pattern draws on basket weave style patterns for it's inspiration, but takes it to the next level with an offset repeat.

Sadly these are the only images I have of my little Moleskine notebook, which I carelessly left in the back of the seat in front of me on a day out when we were in Malaysia earlier this year. My Name and address were in the front, but it's never come home. So sad. I've barely tangled since then. Time, as much as anything, but I almost feel like I'm looking out the window for a long-gone friend, expecting them to walk up the pathway....
How daft is that!?!!
I'm sure I'll get my act together soon and get tangling again. :@)
A pattern I developed at work yesterday - reminds me of a baby in a bunting :)
thanks for looking - comments are most welcome :)
