Trying to keep it really simple for awhile, waiting on new meds & compression fingerless gloves to help with the swelling in my hands ... thinking of going from my usual 5x5 up to 8 1/2 x 11 ( that's the biggest my scanner will take ) & see if that helps ... So it's going to be coloring pages for awhile, a nice change anyway! :) 5x5 done with a Staedtler brown fineliner & Faber Castell watercolor pencils. :) THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND COMMENTS & WELL WISHES! :)

This pattern is brought to you by the letters U, V and W. Reminiscent of the navajo indian patterns, it can be drawn in lots of ways after the main motif is established.

All my tangle patterns are also available on my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com

This is another original design - may be similar ones out there - let me know if there is another the same...

Inspired by southwestern American Indian designs, here is another tangle pattern. Can be used as a focal point, or adapted for repeating pattern. I find the arrowheads really tricky!

You can download this worksheet from my blog at: rainbowelephant.com

Another challenge using Tricia Faraone's tangle, sanibelle. I love this tangle and can't seem to stop using it. Reminds me of floral and undersea florals. Enjoy....

So this is the negative of the pink posy card, nothing done to it , it's just the negative ... I thought the colors were very pretty on this one so decided to share ... you all know I love to do my negs & I haven't posted one for quite some time, hope you like the colors in this as much as I do, they were really a nice unexpected suprize!! :)

Another traditional southwestern American Indian pattern design adapted for tangle borders or repeating pattern. The centre line is begging for pencil shading, or the centre diamond areas filling in - have a play with it!

This is the third in a series of four patterns using curly brackets as the basic shape. A little tricky to get the pattern established, but once you do, it gets easier.

All my tangle patterns can be found at my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com

This one was inspired by pictures of the Chrysler Building in New York. I think shading is mandatory to get it to work and not look too busy. Keep your domes tall and their sides straight for best results. I wasn't careful with my zigzag lines if you were wondering...

Any time we have major projects going on here at the house which I am not totally doing myself, my stress level gets really high, and I do more doodling and drawing than ever! I seem to need it in order to keep calm. :)

Hi everyone! ... seems like such a long time sinse I've been here ... finally made myself sit down & tangle for awhile today ... 5x5, used a brown 0.3 prisma marker to do my tangles & then came back in with my "five" colors, yellow, orange, brown, green & blue, ( General Kimberly's watercolor pencils) wanted to keep it soft, muted & simple ... trying to keep everything simple & stressfree these days ... Note to Cat ... this will be coming your way soon:) Have a great week-end ... :) ... forgot to add I layed a piece of handmarbled paper over this in my scanner to help frame it out ...

This is really ... "Sunshine this Morning" , I put it into my photo program & hit the enhance button, could'nt believe the result! The other photo is right on with the true colors of this piece, but I was shocked & kind of liked what happened to it, so I decided to share it too ... thought it was kind of strange how the silver framework of this piece turned into this blue! :) Had to rename it " ITALIAN SPICES" because that's what it reminded me of with these colors. :)

6x9 ... super black pencil ... Had a hard time finishing this one today, it was so dark all day with rain, hail, snow & thunder & lighting! ... Almost forgot , it was so windy, my wind chimes have been ringing non-stop! I can't wait for the gardens to be filled with roses! ... :) As almost always a couple of tinted negatives of this in my stream...... THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SWEET & THOUGHTFUL COMMENTS, I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU TAKING TIME OUT OF YOUR DAY TO COMMENT ON MY WORK, MAKES ME FEEL LIKE THERE IS SUNSHINE OUT THERE! ;)

I started this one weeks ago and finally went back to it... i'm not too sure if I have a style yet, but I can kind of see placement is almost the same in several pieces. much practising to do still. thanks for looking

Completely off the wall creativity here - not sure where this one came from at all! 100% original pattern. Hopefully you can see it's based on padlocks and keyholes...

All my tangle patterns (now over 50 of them) can be found at my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com

A zentangle pattern I created. Hope you enjoy playing around with it! >^..^<

This was going to be for the purple haze challenge ... did'nt get it done on time... this started out as a trial run with Margret Bremner's new pattern Dansk, I don't know where I lost it & this is what I ended up with ... these were really old markers that I decided to use & wow what a mess with the bleedthrus & ink spreading out ... I almost scraped it but then decided to stick it out & sinse I spent the time doing it thought I might as well post it, every piece is still a learning experience! So sorry Margret I murdered your pattern, but I'll try again. :)

These are just a few of the tea cups I recently finished - for another tea cup shaped book for the collaborative project we have going at LineWeaving.com

This is a little different than just plain B&W ... just tinted with a faint touch of color ...

The right side of the page (days 3-4)

Chop Chop pattern.

It doesn't really matter if the 'curves' and 'triangles' are not the same size. The only important thing is that they line up - row by row.

It reminds me of a choppy sea but then again I see a flock of seagulls :)

Thank you for looking - comments most welcome :)

Isn't it amazing that the blue turns to yellows when inverted ... just never know what it will look like & it's always fun when you first see the results ... thought this yellow looked pretty, warm & sunshiny on the black! :)
