Sorry for the repost. I discovered that I had a step in this pattern that was incorrect.
This is the corrected pattern.
Hi everyone! ... So here's the story ... I finished up this piece earlier this eve, Honey comes into the room & says ... let me see it, I hand it to him , he takes it & looks, silence for a few seconds & then he says ... Oh! This ones not as intricate or detailed as the one's you've been doing lately, not your best work but it's o.k. ... :( .... I feel like I've painted myself into a corner , where I have to fill up every single inch of the paper with detail or it looks unfinished ... hence the title name. I've painted myself into this corner before, where I just want to do something completely different with wide open spaces ... ANYWAYS, This was done on black cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 with Kuretake Pastel Chalk Writers & Derwent Metallic colored pencils ... Thanks for letting me vent! ;)
Post card size, done with fine tip sharpie & Helix 0.1mm pen ... Done for Jeanet who is a very special lady!
4" x6.25" Lama Li Thick Journal. It's taken me a little doing to get the lay of this paper. The manager of the art store said it had 'character'. He's correct--it dictates what it wants to do. The grain isn't consistent throughout, but once you learn how to change the pressure of the pen, you can get some beautiful results.
4" x 6" Gellyroll metallics on black museum board. I picked up a pack of these board scraps at the art store for only $2.00.
I let the color get away from me a little bit. It goes on so easily!
One of the gifts I received last May for birthday was a 5"x17" Canson comic book pad. It has a 4"x13" block that is marked off in inches, to make it easier to draw a comic book.
I intended to use the same coloring method as I have been the last couple of days, using Sharpie fine pens. Who-ah! Between the difference in nib size and the clarity of this paper, it was a whole different ballgame.
I know brush pens are heavily used for Manga, so I pulled out the Tombows and Pitts and proceeded onward. Fun stuff!

The carpal tunnel started acting up, so I decided to leave this one without shading. Good for a change.
Finally been able to access my belongings that I've had in the boot of my car - this must have been the last thing I did before my car accident.
thanks for looking :)

7"x11" double page spread in pen and ink Journal. Various pens.
Finally getting to the point of doing examples of what some of my pieces can look like when colored in with colored pencils for my coloring packets ... have been working on this project on & off along with my cards for quite awhile now ... hoping that they will do well in my Esty shop when I finally get it up & running in a few weeks ... sending out my 1st packets to my grandkids this week! :) ... Still so much work to do but keeping busy is a good thing for me :) ... Hope you all have a great day, with at least one person saying I love you ... so I'll close by saying ... Love you guys! :)
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SWEET & WONDERFUL COMMENTS, REALLY MEANS ALOT TO ME COMING FROM SUCH A MULTI TALENTED GROUP , SUPER GREAT BUNCH OF WOMEN YOU ALL ARE! :)
Just finished this up ... Created on 8 1/2 x 11 Black card stock with Pastel Chalk Writers from Kuretake & black millinium pen for a few details, shaded lightly with Derwent Metallic colored pencils over & under the design work of the pastel writers ... Titled " Flowers for Buffy " for giving me the chance to try out all of the new pens I've been working with & also for giving me the chance to show my work on thier new blogspot. This is a collage of test pieces that I have been doing over the last couple of weeks ... when I looked at them again tonite, the idea to cut them out & make a collage from them just popped into my head ... Soooo I did! It was alot of fun , I think I see alot more of these in the future! :)

What Caverns Lie Beneath the Trees?
And what therein might lie?
Lost treasures? Dwellings? Cities?
All hidden from the sky.
My brother sent a photo showing how low the water was at his dock. For some reason, it just screamed Zentangle to me!
Another in my Victorian series, this is a wall tile pattern from interior designer/architect Talbert.
Zentangle, my first go. I sat and doodled from my head, and a couple of hours later got this :D I actually found it a fantastic way to deal with pain, which was very bad that day.
My FB friends Techla and Darcy got me into this, after me seeing lots of lampworkers doing them and asking "okay what the hell is this zentangling?". I think I could get addicted. I was a doodler anyway and this gives me an excuse :D

The curly braces return for a fifth pattern. Similar to 'Buttercup' but still distinct.

This began as a black and white Zen Doodle downloaded from the internet.. Used Painnt to give it the color and then created the little video with the result... The Polka music was a Midi from the Internet converted to an MP3 so it could be used in my Movie program....
