This ZT started as a Valentine ZT, but I think it's not really a Valentine's present now. Is it? ;-)

Thought I'd share my mini-canvas zentangle inspired art pieces. The canvas and easel are £1 each from The Range and are approx. 2.5 inches square. Quite tricky to draw on with the weave of the canvas so I used a thicker pen. Blending stump required to evenly spread the pencil shading.

Not feeling very creative this week,I have a terrible crick in my neck & it's sweltering here ... did'nt spend any time learning this pattern before I started this, it turned out looking so tight , thought I would add more color in with my colour soft pencils & soften it up a bit ... it just ended up looking like tight little half done flowers! ... I'll try this again when I'm in a more comfortable relaxed state of mind! ... At least I tryed, even tho I can barely look down to draw! :)
Hi everyone :) .... I posted this last yr. in B&W, now she has become a coloring page, and this is what she can look like when colored with watercolor pencils used dry ... I actually did 3 different backgrounds for this piece & could'nt decide which one I liked, the B&W one in my photostream is different ... I'm coloring all three & will post as I get done ... they actually color up pretty fast ... Have to give credit to Sandra Steen Bartholomew for the inspiration for this piece ... the Egyption column & flowers are out of her book " Totally Tangled" At least I think that's the right one, up all nite & my brain is mush right now! ... She looks better with brown eyes ! :)
This is a really simple tangle I have been having fun with.
You can keep adding into the smaller space as room allows
The pictures are three examples of parabola used in various ways.
Whilst waiting at the checkout this afternoon, I saw a food magazine with a yummy cake on the cover. The cake had the word 'Love' dusted in chocolate powder - not only that, the mag came with a stencil so you could make the cake yourself.
I had other ideas; this is one of them.
As you can see, I've used various tangles here :)
Thank you for viewing - comments are always welcome :))
My eyes are very tired and can't focus very well, so I expect there are a fair bit of flaws :)
This one is reminiscent of the “Spiral Graph” toys many of us grew up with. That's what I was thinking of when designing it. It works well in many different shapes too.

Found this tangle in one of my drawers at work - tonight I added the black solid line and bracket lines around the outer sides. It was a piece I started at the time when I was doing the postcard swap unshaded.
Meandering Mooka is inspired by my talented friend and student Susan who is the Mooka queen. She can wander around a page with a continously growing Mooka that does not break. I did not quite match that feat but I do like the finished design.

Been really busy the last couple of days. I have finished all my postcards for the swap (15 plus 1 extra for good luck) - we were to use no more than 3 tangles. I loved doing these and the size is just right.
I hope you like them :)
thank you for your visit - your comments are most welcome and very much appreciated :)
I used one of those kids doodle pad pages for this, and filled in the space. Probably a great way to start if you are unsure about strings etc.
Made this out in Malaysia last year on the island of Pangkor Laut. Inspired by all the bowls of beautiful petals and flowers dotted about the place amongst the trees and pathways. Thanks for dropping by. :@)
My creativity ran out of the door a couple of days ago & has'nt been seen sinse ... hoping it will return soon! ... 8 & 1/2 x 11 green cardstock ... drawn in milky way white , Galaxy marker & prisma colored pencils ...
Love your curves, Baby.
