Micron Pen, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen, White Pastel, Gray Fabrico Pen. I really like shading on Gray Toned Paper.
First in a series of three patterns inspired by photos on www.circlemakers.org of crop circles found in Wiltshire England.
Hi everyone! ... hope you are not getting bored of seeing this image ... it is a completely different background ... & here she has soft pink lips & brown eyes instead of blue ... I personally like the brown better ... I think they look richer but also softer ... I did 3 different backgrounds for this piece, so there is one more, but will give you all a break & wait a while to post the last one ... just trying to figure out which one will be best to go into my coloring packet as an example ... hope your week end is going great! :)
In the midst of moving this week but managed to find some time to relax by creating a new mandala...nice to de-stress and take my mind off things a bit! ;) :)

Sketchbook doodle...been in a leg cast for six weeks so tangling and doodling was great to keep the mind occupied.
I have been playing with Mooka over the last couple of months. After 3.5 years of almost daily practice of Zentangle, things have evolved. I like the new direction! To view more of this series you can visit my Mooka Blues Gallery on my Tangled Expressions Blog where I show some very early and poorly drawn Mookas and my personal progression: sharlahicks.com/mooka-gallery-by-sharla-r-hicks-certified...
Inspired by the photo of this zentangle quilt located here: quiltsbyelsie.wordpress.com/2011/05/26/zentangles-again/
I had some time to 'play' with my 'Offerings' pattern and this is what I came up with. I think it's much easier to draw it this way. Thank you for looking :)

Drew a string months ago - it was time to attack it - this has been scanned and still needs shading to be added. Thanks for looking :)
horray!! hehe my assembly line is finished. I started this one at the same time as my 'blue splatters' piece, a work in progress for a few weeks!! I used my 'offerings' pattern (cause it was brand new at the time and I was excited about it). First of all I dotted with a red bingo marker and it developed from there. because I used 'offerings' around the red dots, to me it looked like people working busily in a production line. After uploading, I can see something else happened here. Looks like a place where they use wool and weave rugs :)) enjoy!
This is the original Negative ... with nothing done to it ... I was so suprized when I saw the colors! ... It looks like it could be the original pc. to me ...
one of my latest explorations of the Zentangle pattern called Mooka. Visit my Tangled Expressions Blog for more sharlahicks.com/mooka-gallery-by-sharla-r-hicks-certified...
You can see the how-to video and pick up a worksheet for this pattern at my blog: rainbowelephant.com
I only used 1 Kuretake writer pen & 2 colored pencils to do this pc. ... did'nt turn out exactly like I would have wanted it to, but it is what it is ... now the negatives of this pc. turned out great, I was pleased with them ... they look like designer summer fabrics to me ... it happens sometimes that way where I like the negatives better ... :)
