Away on a much needed vacation to the east coast but I brought with me some pens and a small sketchbook to doodle inHere's a little progress of a doodle all the way from Newfoundland!
My new tangle pattern. These guys can brighten up any corner - dress them up, melt them down, but don't say I didn't warn you of their mischievousness!
12x12 scrapbook paper, black fineliner, silver and gold gel pens, colored pencils, artist loft markers
Done in my sketchbook, using Brusho and tea for the colours and pens for the rest, interesting experiment as the tea was applied after I dipped my brush into it by accident !

Hi everyone! ... Wow do I miss being able to spend time here at my computer looking at all of your work & leaving comments for you ... and reading all the comments you leave for each other, some of them really make me laugh! ... This is done with oil pastels that mix with water, prisma colored pencils & markers ... worked on this all last week during my breaks from working on dreaded taxes, a real stress buster for a few minutes at a time! ... Hope everyone is well! ... When all is said & done I will visit your streams to see all I've missed! :) Carolyn ... THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SWEET & THOUGHTFUL COMMENTS! I'M WEARING A BIG SMILE ... MISS YOU ALL! ... HOPE TO BE BACK AFTER THE TAX DEADLINE, WILL BE WORKING RIGHT UP TO THE LAST MOMENT I'M SURE! :)

I haven't used Shard for quite some time so it was good to revisit it - I had forgotten how lovely it is :)

Decided to try this tangle in a spiral - used the back of a coaster - love picking up coasters from different clubs and tangling on them :)
thanks for your visit
These are just a few of the tea cups I recently finished - for another tea cup shaped book for the collaborative project we have going at LineWeaving.com
"Art Deco" by Sharla R. Hicks, is serendipity design that moves across the page by following pattern, form and line hidden in the color formations laid down by the printing plate. There is nothing quite like the reveal of running a plate through a printing press and lifting the paper to see the resulting print.
Sharla's Zentangle Class Schedule can be found here: www.softexpressions.com/1/Class.php
In my Zentangle Inspired Art, I love exploring the hidden elements found inside a monoprint (1 of a kind print). Here I enhanced the print with Black Micron Pigma Pen tangles, and added additional color for drama using Alcohol Ink Blender and Markers.

This week's challenge from Laura is to use the new tangle from Rick and Maria, Auraknot. Thank goodness Rick and Maria posted a video because once you see how this is done, it's sooooo much easier to do. I find I'm drawing all sorts of variations of stars or flowers on post-its and memo pads and tangling them in Auraknot. Super fun. Thank you Laura, Rick & Maria! Sorry for the quality of the photo - not my best.
Hi Everyone! ... Today's piece, with a whole lot of boo-boo's in it ... kept falling asleep & my pen hitting the paper! All these up all nighter's are starting to get to me! ... The new meds are helping my hands, thumb is almost back to normal size & I can bend it again, yea! ... it was a challenge to hold a pen in hand for awhile. Hope you are all well & have a great week-end :)
Don't know where she came from ... started off with a crazy long string, & then just added her eyes in & went from there , kind of a strange one, but I sort of like it ... did'nt spend alot of time & effort, ... it's so rainy & super windy the wind chills are in the 30's again & all I want to do is cuddle in my chair with a blanket to stay warm! :( ... 5.5x81/2 , just done with black pencil. :) THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS, YOU ALL KEEP ME MOTIVATED TO KEEP TANGLING & SHARING .... & JUST LOVE LOOKING AT ALL OF THE WONDERFUL WORK THAT YOU POST! :)
Another 3 3/4 x 5 1/2 in. photo holder ... done with 0.1mm Helix pen ... Sooo... Ms. Spider has found herself a fella & they seem to be adding alot of extra webs, hmmm ... wonder what's up with that? ;)
